Ubuntu Control Center or UCC is an application inspired by Mandriva Control Center and aims to centralize and organize in a simple and intuitive form the main configuration tools for Ubuntu distribution. UCC uses all the native applications already bundled with Ubuntu, but it also utilize some third-party apps like "Hardinfo", "Boot-up Manager", "GuFW","startupmanager","jstest-gtk" and "Font-Manager".

It runs flawlessly on my 64 bit Ubuntu (and bravo that you pay attention for the 64 bit edition!)
As a person that continually converts others to Ubuntu, I choose this app to be default to new installations.
Some questions:
1)Is there a ppa for the app?
2)Do you plan to cooperate with the guy that makes the ubuntu tweak?
These two apps coexist nicely but it would be better if they could learn from each other.
I'm not talking about merging the apps but for the prospect for both to become better!
Finally, I hope, like others do, that this app will eventually become default in future ubuntu editions!
I will lobby for this!

A few comments on technical issues with this app tho:
- You have a bad uninstall script in your package, don't rm -R /usr/local/bin
- Secondly I don't want to have to install every configuration utility you think users want, it should work to guide us to our settings, not to install configuration tools for things the average user never needs, e.g. firewall or joystick configuration.
You might offer to launch a graphical installer if say they want to configure their firewall - but I wouldn't go beyond that in terms on intrusiveness.
- Thirdly, a search field would be a nice touch
Good work on the rest of it, especially the UI style =)

- Sorry, but you must have mistake something, there's NO such uninstall script inside UCC. Everything is done throught the package manager.
- I tried to add some applications that doesn't come by default and might be useful to the majority of average users. If people doesn't like the way it is i can made it ask to install the package on the first use in future releases.
- Agreed. I'll try to work on that for next versions.
