Description:

A music player for big collections lovers!

-Plays local files
-A simple music library
-internet-radio
-Plays all Phonon supported formats
-Supports m3u, pls.
-Change songs by pressing and rotate of middle mouse on the tray icon
-Several dirs for Library
-Shows tool-tips in system tray
-Remembers playlist

And still developing...

Depends:
- Python-sqlite
- PyQt
- Phonon

Don't forget install additional codecs for you phonon-backend to have ability play mp3, wma and cool formats:

Example for ubuntu/debian:
apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
or
sudo apt-get install libxine1-ffmpeg

Translations, bugreports and proposals are welcome!

A proper lightweight Qt music player supporting phonon! Thanks a lot, I was losing faith already. Two comments:
(1) It seems I cannot go back to the currently played list after browsing the library while listening.
(2) The scroll-wheel volume change value: 10; is too steep, most apps use 3 or 5.

Yeah, finally a good piece of a player :). But I have a few issues. Mainly, It's becomes slow when someone has a huge database of tracks (I have ~20000), sqlite should do it faster than it's doing it now ;). I won't stick to it anyway, because I'm using mpd, but just wanted to test sth that looked good :).
Ps. Link to Fedora package is not working, had to grab it from SF.

The main problem of the slow parsing is not the sqlplus, but phonon's parsing of media tags. So that not directly depends on me=(

I can only recommend to use phonon-xine as backend - it's much faster than phonon-gstreamer! But I must warn about xine, as before, it has problems with not english tags.

I see, Phonon is fairly new, so I hope they will improve it's performance soon :).

Source code was available from the first commit of this project.
Have heard about sourceforge?
it's quite another matter, that's there is no prepared standard linux tarbal...

I don't really care anymore but I package a lot of software and others usually provide a source tarball for convenience one can download or at least provide cvs checkout instructions on their website.
