Coquillo is a multi-platform utility for editing metadata i.e. "tags" contained in audio files. It supports various formats, mainly MP3, Ogg/Vorbis and FLAC.
The new version has been re-written for Qt 5 and features an improved user interface. Back after over five years of hibernation!
Downloads:
- GitHub
- OpenSUSE Build Service [Debian, Fedora, OpenSUSE, Ubuntu]
- AUR [Arch Linux]
Features in short:
- Integrated MusicBrainz support.
- Rename files based on tags en masse.
- Parse tags from filenames based on patterns.
- Generate track/album/disc numbers automatically.
- Bookmarks to switch between locations quickly.
Dependencies:

- TagLib (should be 1.6+ to compile; 1.7+ for modern cover art support with Ogg and FLAC)

First I want to say thank you for that soft! I just discovered it and it is nearly filling all my needs so I will be able to stop using mp3tag under wine.
Can I make some propositions to make this soft even better ?
Pictures related:
- Can it be possible to drag a picture on the Picturelistview ? (that way we could drop the pictures straight from the browser, no need to save it!)
-When clicking on the + button to add a picture, could the default folder be the one we are currently into, instead of the last folder seen in the fileselection dialog ?
-Same as above for the S button
-Would be nice also to be able to set in the setings the default name for the image, for instance "cover" or "folder"...
cddb
-when looking at the results of cddb, we can only see track number and titles. Can we see the other fields and be able to select only those we want to update ?
Bugs ?
-When I change tags and apply to all and save, if just after I do Processor>Rename files and folder, it is not showing the changes of the tags. I have to load another folder and come back on this one so the changes are taken into account.

However, it is already possible to choose which tags to apply from a CDDB search result using the buttons below the search results list. Problem is that you don't see what data those tags contain. I thought this is an adequate temporary solution, because you could only choose to apply data to fields that are empty in the tracks to see if they get any better.
I will look into your bug report too. I have also fixed some other bugs with the handling of tags recently.
I don't know when I am able to make the next release, because I have a lengthy queue of other projects I'd like to release sometime. But maybe I can spare a day.

2. It is possible to insert other graphics than just covers too. For example photos of live performances.
3. I have thought about this but decided they are not relevant. I could change this, of course, if other people think differently.
4. I acknowledged this minor annoyance already while in beta, but forgot to fix it. Will do.

Small remarks:
1) Columns hiding, I didn't use "#" column, or customizable columns.
2) Covers usualy square shaped. But in setting are two QSpinBox, for H and W.
3) What about some additional info, like: bitrate and duration?
4) What about setCursorPosition(0); to all QLineEdit? For better view.
PS: sorry for bad English.

I also don't think there is anything to integrate at the moment. It's not a good idea to make a huge pile of KDE libraries a dependency just to have a slightly different text box.
