Perhaps you know Burn to the Brim (http://bttb.sourceforge.net/) a tool to optimally fill your CDs/DVDs. Algo does nearly the same job for you. Unfortunately it doesn't support complete directories yet, so you can only add files.
Algo was my very first self programmed application with C++/Qt. I do not develop it further, but perhaps anybody finds it useful ;)
