I hope that v1.5 is available soon.

Thanks for releasing it.

There should be the ability to have a file named DownloadBlacklist with a list of extensions that Lightweight2 won't show the "Start download" prompt for (basically, ignoring them).

Report

Well? Will this be implemented anytime soon or not?

I see no reason for a download-blacklist.

Report

1. It should use a folder system like Opera's (if possible).

2. It should have something to protect against its corruption or a way to clean the corrupted parts automatically.

1 and 2: I wont't look into the cache system.

Oh, ok then.

Will Lightweight2 ever support it or not?

QWebSettings::globalSettings()->setAttribute(QWebSettings::PluginsEnabled, true);
in the main.cpp will enable plugin support (For Flash etc.).
Currently i am working on a whitelist system for plugins

1. How would I go about installing it when support for them is added?

2. Would the one that the Linux version of Mozilla Firefox uses work in Lightweight2?

Read the description of QtWEbkit so see where it Qt searches for the plugin.
I think: If Flash works in FF it works in LW2 also.

Report

Its not working in v1.5. I currently have it in the .mozilla/plugins directory in my home directory but its not being detected by Lightweight2.

In the main part of it, there should be no "open All" menu item (only the submenus of it should have that item).

Report

Zero3K

It should be made to make a backup every now and then (preferably every day) of them so the user can restore them in case they get corrupted. The reason why I'm asking for this function is because my bookmarks.xml file lost most of its bookmarks.

1. Maybe the Scroll Bar could be like how the URL Hover bar was a couple of versions ago.

2. The progrss bar that's shown when a page is being loaded should be contained in a box with a gray background.

3. I think that it could have some kind of ad blocking functionality added into it.

When closing a tab, the focus is switched from the website being displayed to the Search Engine selector. Please make it where the focus is kept on the website being displayed when closing a tab.

How do I enable and/or configure it?

Report

C

Blahord

Disk Cache is enabled hard coded.
It is stored in QDesktopServices::storageLocation(QDesktopServices::CacheLocation)

Report

9

Zero3K

I think that it should be stored in QDesktopServices.HomeLocation, not in QDesktopServices.CacheLocation.

Report

C

Blahord

The CacheLocation is there for the Cache. If it is problematic on your port-OS, you can easly change it.
So the vanillia code will stay at CacheLocation.

Ok then. I'll just make sure that the guy that's porting it to the Pandora is making that change whenever you release a new version of it.

*subject*

1. Does it cache the visites websites in memory?
2. Does it keep the cookies that the visited sites use (so the user would still be logged onto them when restarting it)?
