What font and settings are used for the filenames? I can't get my fonts to look that smooth.

the font is Bistream Vera Sans, size 7

It looks simply fantastic!

Can you tell us how you personalize kbfx and the bar? What color did you use for the applet "on" the bar, ed how you resize the kbfx icons "favorites", "computer" etc??

That's not kbfx, it's kickoff - the default application launcher in kde4. As i know there is not yet a kbfx for kde4 ;)
The rest is plasma :)

Can you tell me how did you manage to install kde4 on archlinux?
(which repo, dependencie problems..)

I'm happy with the stable 3.5 kdemod so I havn't tried it though
