I love this theme, but just unable to read any website buttons...ie in gmail you can see the buttons at the top, but cannot read which one is delete/archive etc. Forums, you cannot read which is 'go advanced' and which is 'post'. Seems like they become white buttons with very very very light gray fonts on them.

That kinda sucks. No updates for two years either...anyone have a workaround for the button thing?

On Firefox 3.0 menu:
1) Edit
2) Preferences
3) Content
4) Colors
5) Unmark "use system colors"

Glossy glass icons look great with this theme. I would also like to know how to either lighten the background or make the text on some websites more readable. Otherwise, great theme.

Has any one got a easy to follow fix for this theme? I can't read text on some websites, it makes the best theme on here practically useless!! I love the carbon fibre effect! I don't want to use any other theme. Arrrgh!!

i love the theme but sometimes its really hard to read text in certain applications, is there a way to chage the text color and the application color under that theme? or is there a way to create myself a custom theme using parts of this one ( i like the backgroud and the minimize, close buttons etc.)

Like gaim, firefox, vlc...,or?

How to install this in Kde?
I use kubuntu edgy with kde 3.5.5

I understand I can install an engine for GTK apps, but what about everything else?

I didn't like background images... but already fixed (I only raised it and blured...).....

At first you must download this theme, then in aplications (gnome start menu) reserch the desktop preferences and choose theme. Once the theme windows appears click on "install theme" and search your theme in the directory you put it! load it and install. it will should appears as aero theme, you can find it, in the "theme's details too.

I love this theme, could easily be my favorite!!
However, I use a few apps that show colored fonts, and with the black backgrounds in the text fields, its very very hard to read these. Is there any way to change those backgrounds to white, or very light grey? With that, I probably would never use any theme but this one!
I adore anything with a carbon fiber motif!

Hi man!

The icons I used in this theme are the same that you can find in this site specificly in icon themes... for example I used the voyager icon to represent my mozilla web browser, the other icons as bluefish belongs to assigned program or packages...

Hi,

I like this theme! I don't know why the low scoring either. I came in here and and the score showed as 50%. I clicked on 'good'(and i know i clicked correctly) and the page refreshed and it showed as 49%. Wtf? I suppose that maybe another person or two voted before I did. But I made my vote pretty quickly after loading up the page. Anyway... nice theme, thank you!

wonder why the low vote?
I know it's dark, and I haven't downloaded this and actually used it. I assume it's the original with all the extras and a gtk1.2?
Upon its creation, it was way ahead of its time and it a very good theme. Also amounst the most popular. Those of you that vote it down because its dark or 3 years old should be ashamed of yourselves!!! Yuo probably don't even know what you're voting down, or not downloading. I'm not supprised.

Hey dude, as you can see, the original name of this theme is "aero", also there is the source which from I downloaded it with license and etc... so I named it gnomedark because I like this phrase.. :D
