Description:

The Equilux Theme provides a couple of full-dark, neutral-gray theme for GNOME/GTK+ based desktop environments. It supports GTK+ 3, GTK+ 2, GNOME Shell, Budgie, MATE, Unity, LightDM, GDM, Chrome theme, etc.

It is not designed to be fancy, but to be useful for a few specific goals:

- Minimize eye strain: when you pass many hours in front of the screen or you are hyper-sensitive to light, saturation and contrast, your eyes will benefit from a dull UI

- Avoid disrupting your circadian rhythms: a neutral color-cast-free UI helps your body to produce enough melatonin at night time and sleep better, working nicely with software like f.lux, redshift, NightLight, ...

- Professional use in image editing, graphic design, 3D rendering: in that fields any color cast or excessive contrast, brightness or darkness introduced by the UI would affect the overall perception of the color and balance of the images

- You may just like it: even if the style is not the main goal, many people find that its very clean and minimalistic UI looks cool and professional

This theme is based on the Materia Theme.

3 Misses some contrast, for example if I turn redshift on I can barely read anything

It depends on the redshift settings: being a low contrast theme on its own, it requires only to shift the color temperature. If you tweak other settings you will probably mess it up quite a bit :).

hello friend, thank yuo for you time and art, please, please your artwork is beautiful but can you avoid your artwork touch firefox because in many pages the black background doesn't let me see or write the letters from the textbox, or maybe I am doing wrong, I place your theme in /home/my-user/.theme this is in Fedora 27. thank you.

I asked about "restart" not "reset". Try to quit the Firefox app and launch it again.

I restart the firefox but the textbox has black background, for example this message I dont see anything, i guess I write well.

sorry but how can you do it with firefox, I about the textbox they are in black color and I don't see anything, i change theme in firefox but I stiil the some pages the textbox are black and I don't see any. please can you write a solution. thank you

I have the latest librsvg and Equilux showed black minimize, maximize and close buttons now (previously they were white). An exact same problem also happened in Materia and its dev fixed it already. So please update this theme too!
