It looks *much* better than the original one. I do hate the brown on blue... I instantly copied the upper right part of your picture to a new picture ~/.kde/share/apps/kcontrol/about/top-right-kcontrol.png.

Kcontrol looks so much better with the blue gears! Thanks for the idea.

But how on earth can one get rid of the ugly thick brown writing (title and explanation) and that line...?
