This is a theme for gensplash from Gentoo splashutils...
It's based around paninaro's great wallpaper named stOrmblue and MacOSX-like brushed metal theme...
This theme shows you progresbar, percentage status and actually started services... and very nice tux :-)
Available resolutions are: 1024x768, 1280x1024 and 1600x1200
If you want to try this piece...:
Prerequisities:
You must have imagemagick installed for creating service-icons.
Best font for this theme is verdanab.ttf - so install corefonts (emerge -av corefonts)... link to /usr/share/fonts/corefonts/verdanab.ttf is included.
Installation is very easy...:
Untar/ungzip package to /etc/splash
# su
# tar -xvzf tuxOSX.tar.gz -C /etc/splash
# cd /etc/splash/tuxOSX
# mount /boot OR mount -n -o remount,rw /boot (if isn't mounted or is mounted read-only)
# ./install.sh
Now you must edit /boot/grub/menu.lst to your needs...
Please, don't forget edit /etc/conf.d/splash for percentage progresbar message (decent example is in splash.example), otherwise your custom text message will not be centered!
Enjoy...
