Hi Psifidotos. A great work. But in my case, after installing the required packages, run the script and observe that the construction of the widget ends successfully, the window appmenu does not work -except with firefox and chromium-. I have restarted Plasma and it still does not work. Do you have any idea what may be happening? My system: Kubuntu 18.04 Plasma 5.12.7; KDE Frameworks 5.47.0; Qt 5.9.5.

1. the plasma app menu applets works ok in your system?
2. I can not test the applet under plasma 5.12 so there is chance that it needs specific version for plasma 5.12

The appmenu only works with the Qt applications. In the case of the Gtk, only Firefox and Chromium. Libreoffice, Inkscape, Gimp for example, do not show the appmenu.

I'm on Neon User Edition. There is no way I can build your widget. Can you be more specific about the way to build it? The "readme" doesn't get me there at all.

you should ask experienced users of your distro how to do it... It uses the same libraries with previous Active Window Control.

mmm, interesting setup, you have two title applets, before and after the buttons, to display icon vs name :)

a user reported that he is using that setup and I wanted to demonstrate the flexibility of having three different applets to do the job... Window Title, Window Buttons and Window AppMenu

Once you go through the hoops, it works. I hated the installation experience, it's broken. I don't know why it can't be installed from the widgets menu, but it is what it is... I do not recommend this for casual users until it can be easily installed.

9 excellent The only -1 : Manual installation Otherwise, perfect! Clearly better than KDE's default Global Menu, which used to keep showing the menu of one particular app minimized/closed to systray until another app became active.

I have the funcionality of the OSX finder menu in mind. As for now the app menu applet will not show anything when there is no active window .... Is it possible to make the applet -in case there is no open window- show the 'plasma_desktop_right_click_menu' or the dolphin_menu, (konqueror_menu)? instead? - as an option maybe.

@Psifidotos, congratulations on your great work, you're so talented at what you do, I'd like to share with you some feature ideas you'd like to see in future versions of Window AppMenu Applet: Interaction with mouse commands, being possible to perform actions to maximize, minimize, restore and close the focus window, the commands could be configurable, the default could be, scrolling forward maximizes the window, scrool backwards, minimize, double left click, restore, middle button, close. By default the entire applet area would be sensitive to mouse commands, there could also be an option to set the length (px) of the sensitive area.
