how do you excute it?

Give this command as root for install:
python setup.py install

For run it:
alt+f2 , ktodo

well, then, have fun developing it... i could suggest to send patches for already existing apps or something, but after all - free software development should be about fun, and if you prefer to do this - by all means, go ahead and have fun!
