Layout for Latte Dock in version 20 of the Deepin Dock!!

Deepin V20 will be released very soon, and we already have a preview of what will be the improvements in its interface.

A little ahead of that long-awaited release, I have tried to recreate the new style of the dock of version 20 of the Deepin desk adapted for Latte Dock with the classic colors, dark and light, for every taste, I leave with you these themes for Latte Dock.

Once the version of Deepin is released, I will see the new changes and try to recreate in detail the new style of the Deepin Dock.

¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬

Latte Dock, amazing piece of software very customizable.
With the possibility of creating both, a top panel and dock, with everything you need to work.

> Installing Latte Dock

Warning: The version needed for these layouts to work properly is the Git version of Latte Doc; This Git version brings extra functions that the normal version does not have, such as floating dock, rounded corners, the Sidebar Widget, etc ...
So in the normal versions of the repositories, non-Git version, these functions will have no effect and the Layout will not work correctly, for this reason it is necessary to install the Git version of Latte Dock.

After researching a few ways to make it easier for you to install the Git version of Latte Dock, I have found some ways, but not for all distros, for example: The Manjaro community has in its AUR repositories a packaged version of the version Git de Latte, in OpenSUSE I have found a package of the Git version of Latte, not so for KDE Neon or Kubuntu, I mean, yes, I have found a package version in ".deb" of the Git version of Latte in Launchpad. net, but it is necessary to install dependencies, which makes the compilation process the most recommended option for the installation of Latte Dock Git Version.

So I will leave instructions for installation in Manjaro KDE and OpensSUSE KDE, and for installation in Kubuntu and KDE Neon I will leave the link for the Latte Dock repository on GitHub where the compilation instructions are.

¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬

> Installation of Latte Dock Git Version in Manjaro
There are two ways to install the Git version of Latte Dock in Manjaro.

1. Doing a search on "Pamac"

Open "Pamac" and do a search for "latte dock git", the results will be two versions, one to install and another to compile, so, choose the version to install, since the compilation way takes a little more time, and it is the second form of installation.

2. Doing a Compilation.
There are two ways to compile install the Git version of Latte Dock.

2.1 Open "Pamac" and do a search for "latte dock git", in the results you will find the option "Build" that will compile the version automatically, which will save you from doing the whole process.

2.2 Go to the GitHub repository of Latte Dock and go to the file "INSTALATION.md" there you will find the necessary dependencies that you must install before starting the compilation process.

¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬

> Installation of the Latte Dock Version Git in OpenSUSE KDE.

I have found a packaged version in a ".rpm" file ready to install just by running a command.

Packaged Latte Dock Git Version for OpenSUSE

Installing ".rpm" files
sudo zypper install name-of-latte-package.rpm

On this page there is also the alternative of adding a repository and installing directly from this added repository, so you can choose what way to use to install Latte Dock git version.

¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬

> For installation on Kubuntu and KDE Neon

In these distros the best way to install Latte Dock is to follow the instructions for compilation and installation of the official Latte Dock repository on GitHub, so, go to the link at the bottom and inside the repository look for the file "INSTALLATION.md" and follow the dependency installation and build instructions.

> Importing Themes

To import the themes into Latte Dock you must run Latte Dock and then right click on any part of the Dock, then "Layouts" and "Manage Layouts", when the window opens look for "Import" click and Search where you have saved your downloaded theme file; now double click on the "In Menu" part, so you have access from the menu without opening the "Manage Layouts" window at any time, and that's all. Now you can enjoy any theme you like.

  • ROUNDED
I've used the "ROUNDED" theme in "Plasma Styles" because it looks Perfect for the Deepin Layout and the "Plasma Deepin" theme doesn't have rounded corners for the Latte Dock, and that's why I used the "ROUNDED Color" theme for "Plasma Styles. "

Do not forget to vote if you liked this theme and leave a comment if you encounter any problems.

@FKORPSVART, in Latte Dock version 0.10 you can now get the Deepin V20 floating dock design, take a look at the video below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADEWygbPqQw&feature=emb_title

We do not yet have an option to control the size of rounded corners, which is a very important part of the design of floating docks. :(

Yes, thank you, and I know it, I had seen the video before doing the themes, and taking that into account, I opted to make only the version with the windows task bar style and not as a floating dock.

Unfortunately, Latte Dock, as you say, has many limitations, just like Plank Dock, you can not play much with the customization of these Docks, their styles are quite minimalist.
So I will do the full versions of Deepin v20 for Cairo Dock, which does have a little more configuration options.

Thanks for your comment, d3xt3r. :]

nice :) a small suggestion...
For your dark version you probably has chose autocoloring through Appearance -> Colors -> Reverse...
In that case some of your applets are auto-colored in white even though they should not. If you have applets in your layout that you want to keep their colors you can do the following:

Right click on the Dock -> Dock Settings -> Rearrange And Configure applets -> hover one of the applets you do not want to be autocolored -> in its tooltips there is a "drop" icon, you can use it to disable Latte auto-coloring for that applet
