For those of you having trouble with this cursor theme, in index.theme, change
Inherits=RevRedux
to
Inherits=whiteglass
(or something similarly appropriate). The self-recursive inheritence understandably crashes the client-side component of Xcursor, which is what's causing the problems with applications crashing.

"i wasted 3 COUNT 'EM T-H-R-E-E hours reinstalling, setting up and other wise messing around with my linux box because of cursors.
CURSORS! CURSORS! A bloody cursor theme! Three hours, a reinstall, because of what? CURSORS!
The POS theme is the RevRedux theme from Kde-look.org. Avoid at all costs. Or at the very least recompile before using it. I'm not sure if that'll help because i'm never using that bloody theme again.
For those wondering the problem was that anytime i type ANYWHERE the page/app/browser that i was typing in would crash. Be it MCC, rpmdrake, kwrite, konqueror or nautilus. I finally figured it out a couple of minutesd ago. I created a new account and everything was fine, then i started copying stuff over from my other account and it started happening again.
I traced it back to the .icons directory where i was using guess what theme? that's right, revredux. i changed back to yellowdot and everything was great."
I posted that at mandrakeusers.org (as fubar::chi) after using your cursors caused any windows i tried to type in to crash. THis started happening only after using your cursor theme. It happened with kde 3.1.1 and kde 3.1.3 (i never used 3.1.2)

It is normal that you messed up everything again by copying all your files, because you got the cursor theme again.
Anyway, it is just stupid to reinstall your system just for a cursor theme.

But I dont think that matters anyway since I tried XFree 4.3.0 cursors on older versions of XFree and the cursors simply doesnt change nothing else occurs.
I think its more likely that you have XFree files corrupted or the filesystem corrupted (or both).
Anyway there is nothing wrong with this cursor set, well there is some missing cursors since it is undocumented, maybe I will decode/edit whiteglass/redglass XFree cursors...

Changing the index.theme from "Inherits=RevRedux" or "Inherits=Silver", respectively, to "Inherits=whiteglass" (a theme which comes with KDE, at least on Mandrake 9.2) solved my problem. I'm using RevRedux righ now, and it works fine.

Have posted up a notice on the footnotes forum (gnomesupport.org/forums). This is the first set of cursors that I have seen with a definite gnome feeling to them so figured it would be nice to spread the word.
