Actually not the popup is too small, but the font used is too big. It looks like a 12 or 13-size font, while in my systemsettings I have set the size for most fonts to 10, 11 being the biggest size. I have tried using other fontsizes, but they don't seem to affect this very popup / button.

I know it would mean a lot of work, but this way it's only usable for english desktops.

Porting this one to KDE4 will take some time, but I will keep it in my mind, okay?
Thank you very much for your positive comment, I really apreciate that. :)

I guess I simply got confused by that "Browse" button, like "Hokay, so this is where I set the excluded paths... oops, clicking a folder doesn't work, awrite, so I type it manually..." etc., also I only had my first coffee when giving lB a first try. *cough* I have worked with rsync before, but I simply forgot about those path-options-thingy.
I love rsync a lot, but you made it even more useful by creating the possibility to use profiles (my favourite feature), this makes things a *lot* easier. I'm looking forward to test the CLI-Version. Thank you again!
OT: Thanks as well to the KDE4-SuSE-packagers, they do a *great* job in providing the best and most useful KDE4 of any distribution so far.

I must report some troubles, though...
1. Excluding folders does not work for me, although the rsync-command mentions them (after hitting the "Validate"-button):
rsync -h --progress --stats -r -tgo -l -p -D --update --delete-after --delete-excluded --exclude=/home/kalle/backup --exclude=/home/kalle/musik --exclude=/home/kalle/daten --exclude=/home/kalle/.azureus
Note that the destination-folder (/backup) should be excluded as well - there should be a warning that it still will be included, but no message appears; all folders are backed up into ~/backup (~/.azureus, ~/musik and ~/daten too).
2. The "Browse"-button in the "exclude" / "include"-module only allows to choose files, no folders. So there might be a misunderstanding on my side - is it possible to ex- or include folders at all? If not, why is that so? That would make luckyBackup totally useless for me.
3. The manual can't be found. For installation I used the .rpm for SuSE (plus 'luckybackup-doc') from the KDE4:Community-repo. When calling the manual, it says "Either luckyBackup is not installed correctly or you have executed the binary from a different directory than the one it was Intended to... :-(", though it is located in /usr/share/doc/packages/luckybackup/manual/index.html (fine manual, by the way).
Feel free to send me a message in case cooperative troubleshooting is needed. I really want this app - no wonder it's rated that good... - Mar 21 2009

But - if you do not wish to work together with others, that's perfectly okay of course. OS gives you that freedom as well. It's just pretty unusual. :)
Anyway: it's cool to have ManDVD back (have to test it yet, though...), and that is what counts. So thank you.

03:53 hoppers:/home/kalle/hypervcrpm-qt4 # rpm -Uhv hypervc-0.4-linux-2.6-intel.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libqtcore4 is needed by hypervc-0.4-0.i386
libqtgui4 is needed by hypervc-0.4-0.i386
The requested packages do not exist for openSUSE (I suppose they're simply named differently, on oS there is 'libQtCore.so.4' in 'libqt4', so the dependency should be libqt4 instead).
Yet the generic script works perfectly, and hypervc is a useful little thingy, very nice. I *would* have preferred it to be installed in /usr/local/bin though, but well...
I really like the 'create command'-button. I'm looking forward to post endless commands in forums in case someone asks how to convert a .h264-clip with flac-Audio to a .xvid with .mp3 and a custom sample-rate, haha.
:D
So... thank you. - Nov 10 2008

openSUSE has different kde-paths from most other distros, that might be the reason I guess. That will be changed with KDE4, though.

There's not much more to say about SMPlayer, it's my favourite player, because it's perfect (except for the DVD-menu-thingy).
Also thanks to raoul for building the SuSE-.rpms! - Nov 22 2007
Yet there's room for improvement:
- The .tgz doesn't contain any instructions
- Kuickplay should be offered in any folder containing audio-files, not only, when they are marked
- It doesn't work when multiple files are chosen (simply doesn't play anything)
- It should be possible to set Kuickplay as default-player whenever an audio-file is clicked (fast previewing seems to be the main idea behing KP, or am I wrong?), it would also be nice to be able to integrate KP for example in Thunderbird (so it would be launched whenever an audio-attachement is clicked)
- After launching, the volume-slider is set at half, but the actual volume is at 100% (by the way, that should be optional)
- The GUI needs some more work, it should be a little smaller and less blue
Yet I really like KP a lot, so please keep on working!

BUT: this seems to be solved with the last release 2.2, so give it another try after upgrading.
Yet again there is no VHT-support for this version when taken from the SuSE-Guru-repo... Raoul, these are your builds, aren't they? Why is VHT always disabled? - Jul 12 2007

I'm sure it is not a hardware issue, since the original Katapult does run without a flaw.
» I guess the design of the dialog box is a bit misleading because you tend to assume the Catalogs part is just a heading.
True, that's why I was overlooking this. Switching off catalogues does help, when no catalogue at all is activated - but well... that makes Katapult a little pointless :) . Even when only the calculator is activated, the behaviour of freezing is there again.
Kay, I'll mail you some (hopefully cleaned) strace-outputs, and since my prob seems to be pretty isolated, we'll do further bughunting by mail.

I am running a Athlon Thunderbird at 1365 MHz, 510 MB RAM with a 32bit SuSE, 3D-support is off.
Forget about the kicker-behaviour, it only occurs when I am using kicker during the freeze and seems to be an independent process.
You'll have to explain 'disabling catalogues' a bit more, since I only see an option to switch off the Mozilla-bookmarks-search, which does not change anything, same with moving
katapultrc... I also tried to change some more settings (more or less randomly), but that does not affect the freezes. Um... maybe I'll do a 'strace katapult' later - if you could give me a hint how to grep the output (would be insane to put the whole output on kde-apps).

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by dilettante 81 comments
Pretty much every action I try is followed by a sort of semi-freeze (mouse flickers and stops moving every half second, xorg uses up to 90% of cpu, Kicker up to 25%) and Katapult will not react for about a minute, in which the widget does not disappear. From what I can tell, the basic functions do work, but they are heavily interrupted and therefore unuseable. Starting it from Konsole doesn't show any output, compiling the source went 100%ly smooth.
Running openSuSE 10.2 / KDE 3.5.7, the original Katapult does work. Hope this'll get fixed, because I really like your ideas for improving good ol' Katapult.
- Jun 23 2007
Is there a reason why the .rpm-packages for openSUSE 10.2 do not provide the VHT-feature? When compiling Ktorrent myself, VHT is included, in the versions I get from KDE-backports and guru, VHT is an option in the settings-dialogue, but it's alway marked as 'off'.
It would be nice to see a manual included as well, since it is offered in the 'Help'-menu.
I recommend to update the screenshots here on kde-apps, since the GUI has changed a lot meanwhile and offers many new features.

Just a few words @KatchTV: It's a funny lil' app, thank you! It could need a little more stability, also a simple dialogue to set the player or the download-folder would be nice (letting the user guess how and where to set the symlink isn't a good way...). Still, I am very glad I stumbled over it. Great work!

I used to have a problem when having 'export TMOUT=900' written in my /etc/.bashrc.local (to automatically close root-shells after 15 minutes of inactivity) - this used to crash Yakuake, but now it works!
But:
- Since resizing can be set by shortcuts, moving Yakuake should be too
- The shortcut-setup could be moved to 'configure Yakuake'
- Aren't there any decent skins except the default one?
Nevertheless, Yakuake is better than ever! Thank you! - May 06 2007
