If you had taken a look at the screenshot, you'd notice, that it shows a gtk app... as there are actually gtk apps available for windows, gnome-look.org is _definitely the right place_ to post this content. - Jun 25 2007

OSX-Tiger theme

GTK2 Themes by Lauri 81 comments

Welcome to the Linux community :)
Just forget about the foreposters comment.. of course you can use this theme in XFCE :)

You have to unpack it into the .themes (don't forget the dot in front of it) folder under your home-directory (like /home/insertusername/.themes). You can do this with thunar-archiver or even file-roller, if installed.

Then open the XFCE controlcenter either via menu or by pressing ALT + F2 and typing xfce-setting-show
In "User Interface Settings" navigate to OSX-theme and apply.
Have fun :) - Apr 19 2007

to me this looks like Clearlooks theme is entered as your default in .gtkrc-2.0, so you're enjoying a crazy mixture between both... I would make a backup of that file and then delete it, then log out and back in and it should be done. - Mar 12 2007

I posted it on kdelook as well as here, but I see it only there...

@angrykeyboarder:
Where's the problem? You can run Beryl under Gnome as well as KDE. If you look at kdelook.org, you'll find out, that they share the Beryl section.

So this content is displayed on gnomelook.org as well as on kdelook.org, though it has been posted on kdelook.org...

So there's absolutely no reason to be a lamer :D - Nov 14 2006

Is it already implemented in Murrine engine or do we have to wait for the next release?

I think, it's cool as it is. It could only a bit more "speedoptimized" for those unlucky (like me) with not much graphics RAM (8MB) and CPU (850Mhz). On my old Armada notebook nothing performs better than QtCurve engine, but I hate it to have a bunch of KDE-dependencies installed only to be able to configure QtCurve gtk2 theme... and a new notebook is far from sight :(

Maybe you could take a look into the codebase of QtCurve gtk2 engine? I'm sure, I'm not the only one in the huge OS community suffering from a slow main computer...

Anyways: thumbs up! - Oct 09 2006

Candido Hacked

Various Gnome Stuff by cimi86 21 comments

This looks like the "work" of a bored scriptkiddie, who is happy enough to have found a virusgenerator or so... seems the stupidity of the human animal is infinitely :(

Your other page is also hacked, but it looks like they "only" modded the front page. Those scriptkiddies are the real lamers and are not worth that distress.

And Cimi, don't forget: in every crisis lies a chance. You'll see, that you can count on the community and that is, what makes it worth for you, to go on with your wonderful art :)

And by the way: kdelook had a spammer tonight :( Somebody must have been very bored... - Sep 14 2006

Yes, I am interested - but I would also like to have a patch for GTK2... - Sep 11 2006
Good idea! I would like to have that, too. The possibility to change the menubar text colour separate from the button text colour would also be cool (if I haven't overseen sth.)...
But the mega uberfeature would be the option to style qtcurve like the candido engine for gtk2 (including the thinner curve like "v style arrows"!
