Slick Red

GTK2 Themes by Dawei87 8 comments

Nice Theme. Fits really good together with the black-red icons.

There is a similar theme out by another author, but the other theme does not work out. So I took yours and I like it. Perhaps you could mix a very bit of re colour into the theme. That would look even good.

Bit I have to confirm: nice awsome theme.

I also installed your nice collection. but one question: could you please add a utero-red.tar.gz?

I would need it for nice icons in red and black.

Thank you and i would like to see this red variation up here soon.

But your theme looks nice indeed!! Good work!!

want to confirm, that your icons work and look pretty.
Thank you.
And I also wanted to let you know, that the user promix89 has exactly copied your icons and has also put then up here. But his icons (which are exactly the same as yours) do not work.

I don't know if he stole your nice idea then.

Red Icons for GNU/Linux

Full Icon Themes by promix89 28 comments

Dear promix89:

I like your icons and I downloaded them.
But I can't install them.
The Error-message says:red-icons does not seem to be a valid theme, although your package is a .tar.gz-archiv, which normally should be acepted. Because other icons in .tar.gz-archives are accepted and installed without any problem.
So could you please be so kind to check your theme for other errors than the package-type? There must be an error somewhere. But I don't know where.
So I want to add myself in the statement: make it work.
Kind regards,

how to install this nice GDM-Theme in Ubuntu Karmic Koala? Actually everyone says, you can't really change it.

So I would be thankful for an Installation-instruction.

Thanks in advance

Wow, a gold Edition of Azenis... wow that would be great and even as outstanding as all the other themes before.
I don't know how to do such great jobs as you do and so I think, you are the only one who can do this outstanding job. So please keep on working on this.

Bit I also wish you all the best for yourstudy althogh it is not so nice that you don't study IT.

hello jameshardy88:

I justwanted to add, that I think that the world lost a big programmer as you chose to study psychology. You should change and study IT. Because as you do such fantastic, great, gross, outstanding artwork which is uncomparable with anything out here in the wild, I think why didn't you choose to come together with the artworkers of the Ubuntu Karmic Koala-Developers....
You could give them the real push to make Karmic Koala to something big and outstanding against Windows 7 in this world.
You should really follow your talents and better study IT.

You are the future of all these big artworkers in the subject IT. Perhaps you think twice and change subject. This would be your real profession I think.

Dear promix89:

I can also state, that your Icons look cool indeed and I would like them also.
But there is one big hint:
your theme is not installable. Everytime I get the same Error-message, as also reported by the other users here. The message sais, that this theme does not seem to be a valid theme.

Please check your packing an your theme for possible errors. It would be nice, if you would make this theme installable and working.

Thank you and kind regards,

Azenis

GTK2 Themes by jameshardy88 228 comments

yes of course. I had the idea of a containing the gtk-Theme/style in orange and the Azenis Icons in orange.

That would mean, the Theme should contain the gtk-theme/Style like it is in all the other themes. And them there should be the Azenis icons (in orange color instead in red or green or blue).

Then the theme should be packed as a tarball (.tar.gz-archive) for making it working.

I hope I could sere you with this information.

hello jameshardy,
your Azenis-Icons are perfectly working for me sincethis evening. I like these themes and have all three (red, blue and green) successfully running on my machine.
So now I am thinking on how to fit out my Halloween-Desktop (Wallpapers I have already downloaded from the Internet) and I think a theme and Icons like the Azenis-Icons and a theme like Azenis in orange color would fit best.

So how do you think about creating this theme also in orange color? I would be very pleased to see this theme also in orange color.

Please enrich your collection also with an orange variation.

Thank you in advance.

GTK2 Themes by jameshardy88 228 comments

hi,
I like your Theme and the gtk so much (I have all three ones succesfully running, red, blue and green), that I wanted to ask if there is a possibility for an orange variation of this theme.

This would fit very good to my Halloween Desktop that I am preparing on my Desktop. Wallpapers for this I have already downloaded from the Internet. Only a nice orange Icon-theme like the Azenis-Theme is missing and the Breathe-icons or such things are not so much a thing what I like.
So I would be very pleased to see an orange variation too here in gnome-look.org.

What do you think about that?

hi tecchnoshaun:
I installed all the three Azenis-Themes sucessfully and I like them very much indeed!!

But now one last question:
is there also a red and a green version of this GnoMenu of Azenis there?
I have GnoMenu also successfully running and now I am - just for finishing up - looking for the corresponding red and green version of Azenis GnoMenu including the icons and the buttons.

Can you tell me where to find these Gnomenu-themes of Azenis in red and green color?

Thank you technoshaun!!

Edit: I know you already from Launchpad where you also helped me a lot with Ubuntu Tweak (I love this little program!!)

Then I will finally have the red, the blue and the green Azenis theme thanks to your help!!

hello again,
thank you for your installation-instruction. Yes this helped me a lot and I learned something new from this. I learned from you, how to repack icons like this and make them work for me. Thank you.
Now the theme is working as it should.
One question in addition to that: I already use your Azenis green Icons. So is there a possibility for you to create this gtk-Theme also in green so that it fits to the Aznis green icons?

Kind regards,

Azenis Icons

Full Icon Themes by jameshardy88 127 comments

sorry, that i posted in German. I should better try to post in English as I see.

OK, the point is this: I can't install the icons. I get an error-message. The Download-Link leads to the page from deviantart. But on the Download, you only receive a .gz-Package (not a tarball!!). And as soon as I want to installt the icons, the error-message is this one: "An error occured at installation. The Azenis:_Red_Icons_by_jameshardy88.zg doesn't seem to be a valid theme".

So how to install the icons, because the gtk is installable and works out fine. Only the icons can't be installed.

So could you please post a short installation-instruction or repack the icons into a tarball (.tar.gz-archive)?

Thanks for your help.

i an not install this theme. I only get a .gz-Theme and when I want to install thie icons, then I get the Error-message "Bei der Installation ist ein Fehler aufgetreten"- The theme Azenis_Red_Icons _by_Jameshardy88.gz scheint kein gültiges Theme zu sein.".

Great work. Love this Icontheme. I also installed the corresponding GnoMenu-Icons and the corresponding GnoMenu-Theme already. This will give a great look for my Desktop on Halloween.

But one question: could you also do a black-orange mixture from this theme? This would look great together with the new skinning of Firefox 3.5. There is a pretty-looking skin in black-orange. So this would fit together very fine.

hy brute,

I think, this is not only a KDE-problem with not being able to launch Kpat from GnoMenu.
I use Gnome-Desktop and there it is the same thing.

I think that this could also be a bug in the Theme or even the Desktops themselves.

Dear freevo,
I like your firemenu very much. But there is one problem: the Installation fails because fo the not corresponding locales in my Ubuntu (that means your firemenu for GnoMenu is only in polish language). Could you please be so kind to make a german translation with it so that i can install it?

Because for Christmas it would fit my desktop so nice to my Wallpapers, which I found on the net.
Thank you in advance for your work.

Dear FilanysZ,

this them is really not installable. When i try to install it in Gnomenu, then I receive the message: "Error: the theme is incorrectly packed. Try to install it manually".
This error referres to the whole theme as well as the icons and the startbutton.
Could you please be so kind to repack these packages and update them to Karmic Koala please?

Thank you for your understanding.
