OK! Everything is like in your screenshot, except that my minimized background is like the pinned one (no background) instead of the unfocused one.

It does this even after restarting plasmashell, logout/login and deleting the kcache files.

Is the task manager already updated? I ask because I just upgraded the theme to 0.0.3a, but I couldn't see the difference.

To be clearer, here's a screenshot https://imgur.com/a/yNUxLXv
My issue is with the iconified windows, which icons are the same as the unlaunched pinned icons.

The second screenshot is for another thing that I noticed with the applications menu.

Anyway, I really appreciate what you are doing. It would be cool to have this theme and the corresponding icon theme as default for plasma. :) - Jul 11 2018

Looks good enough for me ;-)
Thanks also for fixing the box-in-a-box issue.

Using it daily I found a couple of other ones.
Icon Only Task manager: there's no distinction between the pinned icon of an application that's not running and an iconified window.

Desktop tools: when the button is moved away from the a corner it adds two dark lines underneath the activity name. - Jul 09 2018

Cool theme. I think that this and the icon theme are a nice improvements over Breeze. There's only one issue that I'm having. It seems like there's no progress indicator when using the icon only task manager in a vertical panel. - Jul 06 2018

I use this addon almost everyday, and I find it very handy. Thanks! :)
There's only two things that I find awkward:

- The icons in the favourites page seems to be randomly sorted. Is there a way to choose how to sort them automatically (sort by name/description) or manually?

- I'd like the exit/shutdown/reboot/lock button to be easier to reach and click. Any chance to make them bigger without ruining the aesthetic? - Mar 10 2018

I never tried this icon set before, but now I did and it's very original and cool! I also discovered the other "evolvere" themes. Do you plan to also update the plasma theme, colorset, kwin borders? - Mar 07 2018

I noticed a problem using Latte Dock. The progress indicator (eg. for file copy or disc burning with k3b) is painted in the same dark grey colour of the font that indicates the number of operations pending, making it hard to read.

Beside this... very cool icon theme. :) - Jan 29 2018

I tried it for a while. I liked it, but I reverted back to default breeze because it doesn't have an icon for the title bar global menu.
I also think that it would be a nice improvement to make it use the colors of the chosen color scheme, instead of having two fixed variants (light and dark), just like the default breeze theme. - Aug 31 2017

I'm sorry, but I think I don't have time to do this. Since I switched to a tiling wm, awesome, I'm not using this theme, and even gnome, anymore.

I tried only once to adapt a gtk3 theme and it was a hell... Gtk2 were quite chaotic and disordered, but I could manage them with a 200 lines gtkrc, but with gtk3 I have to edit various chaotic and disordered ~1000 lines css...
I can't do it... at least, not now. :(

However, anyone more experienced with gtk3 could take this theme and do whatever he wants with it. ;) - Mar 13 2013

Maybe, the newer versions of murrine draw the checkbox in a different way?

Try this gtkrc and tell me if it works:
http://pastebin.com/FP14JP6G

The changed part is in the style "murrine-radiocheck" section, at row 275.

Can you show me a screenshot before and one after the patch? - Oct 16 2011

I think it could be related to the border thickness of the buttons.

You could use this trick, to change the clock applet font alone.

Ok. I found it. It's not related to any setting of the theme. It works alredy in every theme. Try to set a smaller font and a bigger panel.

I was wrong with the expanders. It is possible to click them even outside the arrow icon. Making them 8 pixels size, like in Lambda-Mod, works normally.

I changed the ACTIVE colour status of the buttons. Now the selected task stands out better. Thank you, this was a good point.

Regarding the panel, maybe, I didn't understood what you mean. You can change the layout of the date applet with a trick in gconf-editor: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/10/how-to-customize-the-clock-applet-in-ubuntu/
In the Lambda-Mod screenshots, he uses a different panel, named Talika: http://www.webupd8.org/2010/05/finally-ubuntu-ppa-for-talika-gnome.html

You could also use a smaller font, but I prefer the classic Dejavu sans 10, for better readability.

Now I'll upload the new version with smaller arrows and more contrast on the selected buttons. ;-) - Oct 01 2011

Thanks ;)

I just changed some lines in the metacity-theme-1.xml file. It was easy (Look at the original version and mine: there are very few changes). Most modern themes have that menu-titlebar unified look, which is very nice, but makes it hard to distinguish which window have the focus.

I just tried to change the GtkTreeView::expander-size from 14 pixels to 12. You are right. It looks better. But I think that smaller than this, would make it hard to click.
I don't know how to change it to the +/- icon... However, I prefer the arrows. :) - Sep 30 2011
Wave GTK

GTK2 Themes by seahorsepip 5 comments

I like it more than elementary. Now it's my theme of choice for my home and my work machine. :-)

I think it could be improved more:
- index.theme has elementary as default icon set, while it should be elementary-mono-dark
- in the nautilus tab bar, it's hard to see wich tab is in front. I think that using a white background for the front (like in the old version of elemntary) tab will solve the problem, and make it look very good
- sometimes it'hard to see which window is in front. this is a common problem in all the themes with uniform metacity-gtk colors... finding a good solution would be great. for now, making the metacity buttons of the background windows different (maybe flat and same color of the background window text? or 50% transparent?) could be a nice temporary solution. - Dec 28 2010
