this is imho a great idea. at least there should be more info in the normal view.

and then maybe a kind of a live search function in the konqi window, which narrows down to a file very fast (eg choose a certain size range, filetype, name) ;-)

just like the find-file function... - Jul 14 2004

this works, thanx... been trying to see the ok for some time, so I thought this whouldnt work, but it did ;-)

but hey, I miss my icey buttons ;-)

and nice don, the about button ('about this cat', with info and links to your site). the whole config screen is quite nice, too.

but I have 2 questions: the progressbar styles are nice, but might you make the liquid one a bit more rounded (like the baghira one) or animate the baghira one?

and I see a *very small* (once again: one pixel) problem: see it on the config screen: the tab's (chooser, here) have a seperator between them, isnt it? well, its just one pixel too long - eg it sticks out below. (hard to explain if enlish isnt your native language, sorry)

so, I hope this can help improve it again ;-)

this is really cool... maybe you can put some more work in it, to let the debian logo blend in a bit more (eg it doesnt follow the wind patern, now - the logo is round, while the patern is more oval... resizing the logo whould make it fit better. then a bit more blending in on the edges of the logo, so it really seems the logo is in the wind? just an idea...) - Jun 30 2004

KSmoothDock

Various Plasma 5 Improvements by dangvd 703 comments

especially by the processor usage of this app. its just very very small, realy cool. this is the only dock that doesnt inflate the processor use to 100% when I use it!!! kooldock used to be the fastest, but now ksmoothdock is doing much better. thank you guys for the really great job you did!!!

I hope this app can be improved further. there are (for me) some things that bug me. an auto-hide feature (i know its coming) and the systray. and the starting of apps is quite slow. and by clicking on an running app, which is already in front, it doesnt minimize (which it should, as all taskbars do).

I guess, you guys are gonna supprise me with the new version ;-) - Jun 17 2004

I know these are just very very very minor glitches ;-)

but: dont we want our favorite style to be perfect??? I mean, really perfect?? PIXELPEFECT! yep ;-)
So:
http://web.inter.nl.net/users/jospoortvliet/pictures/problem5.png
there is 1 (yep, one) missing pixel...

and this one, guess you saw my screenshot of this before:
http://web.inter.nl.net/users/jospoortvliet/pictures/problem2.png
under the icon, there is a thin line over the nice dark-blue one. or better, the icon seems to overlap the line.

Now a strange problem:
The same screenshot as the last one, but after some time (actually, after starting ksnapshot):
http://web.inter.nl.net/users/jospoortvliet/pictures/problem1.png
same problem, but for some strange reason, the dark-blue line isnt there. I catched this problem later on again:
http://web.inter.nl.net/users/jospoortvliet/pictures/problem4.png
Now it has *almost* disappeared. (now, when typing this, the dark blue line begins just after half the with of the line with tabs... and still stops before the icon, which seems to overlap it. I'll try to catch it, altough starting apps seems to influence the appearance of the line...).
succes!!! until now, when i started ksnapshot, the whole line just dissapeared. now it didnt, you can see what I saw whenn typing the above piece ;-)
http://web.inter.nl.net/users/jospoortvliet/pictures/problem6.png

Hope you can fix these.

it didnt show up, while it compiled and installed very well. so I looked around, and found the files on a strange place (at least, strange for my KDE installation): in /usr/local/kde (/share and /lib).
but my KDE is installed in /usr. the windec shoulnt be in /usr/local/kde/share/apps/kwin but in /usr/share/apps/kwin
and the libs shoulnt be in /usr/local/kde/lib but in /usr/lib.

how can I change that??? moving the files by hand doesnt work... - Jun 15 2004

xmms is continually showwing the tooltip, cuz the time is changing... :(this isnt what it should do, isnt it?)

and now xmms crashes sometimes - cuz when I clik its dock-icon, it doesnt maximize, but opens minimized on the taskbar (just like before). so when I use "dock when minimized" and I click the icon, xmms opens (minimized...) so it crashes kdocker, or just nothing happens, and I cant get xmms to show, unless I unclick "dock when minimized" :(

btw I use kdocker anyway now, cuz it hides xmms from the taskbar. but I want to see the window, but nothing on the taskbar... so it can get even better. - Jun 14 2004

it works now.

But I have a request:
I have xmms normally on top-right, with always on top and on all desktops. but then it shows a button on the taskbar. I hoped kdocker could make the window show in the systray (taking less space) instead of on the taskbar, but behave the same (eg click = minimize (now just shows the taskbarbutton, I have to click that to maximize, even if I clicked the kdocker xmms button when it was maximized :() and click again = maximize (but no taskbarbutton).

maybe you can do that?
And I think this could work great with that ksystraycmd if you would let this work:
(in kde/autostart): "kdocker -notaskbar -show /usr/bin/xmms"

I guess this way the code can partly be merged, isnt it? and this tool can be integrated in KDE!!! - Jun 14 2004

I really like this. having some kind'a startpoint whould be nice. I think it could be usefull to set konqueror up so that it wont go to /home if you go up one level from /home/user, but to this page. of course you still need to be able to do "/home" manual.

this whould hide the awfull / directory structure, which you dont need anyway. Of course then this page whould need all links to documents, movies, /mnt and other important places (for the normal user!!!!). - Jun 13 2004
