KDE 3.x Window Decorations by jrch2k 357 comments

I really like this look. nice, clean, professional - and not just a little bit windoze-like, but what the heck.

but I have a question, which I ask over and over again to ppl who develop windeco's: when maximized (and "maximized windows are resizable" is turned of) does it cover the whole screen? (no rounded corners)? and does clicking upper-right of the screen close the window (like it does in windoze, and with the plastik windec, provided you un-checked "maximized windows are resizable and movable").

if not, please??? please???

thanks for the work anyway! - May 06 2004

Dolphin Service Menus by prjanique 305 comments

hmmm, yeah, you're right. well, I didnt really mean you should start kiso for this, but for example - it whould be nice if this came with kiso (it has an contextmenu with lesser features now, afaik, not sure) and could be configured from kiso ("activate context-menu" in settings or whatever?). but of course this maybe whould be more for the distro's to do - simply add both packages to their KDE installations ;-)

anyway, thanks for the work!!! - Apr 25 2004

System Software by ronnyK18 84 comments

just checked it - me has said stupid thing before (as user "jos") = ow, its not a kde bootsplash changer ;-)

but now - Mandrake has the change of bootsplash build-in in the mandrake control center... guess suse has something like that???

but I use debian now, and debian has no such tool (at least not that I am aware of)

so please? debian support???

thanks for the work!!! - Apr 23 2004

but shouldnt it be doable to let this work with debian/rpm sourcefiles??? they just contain the same source, and even have an patchsystem, so it should be patchable, or at least - it should be possible to put the patch somewhere, and then let apt-get apply the patch before compiling??? - Apr 22 2004

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by ipv4 223 comments

I'm sorry, I like the fact you want to make someting GPL, and I'm sure ppl appreciate it, but there are now so many OS-X-like dockers...

kxdocker has the features your dock has, and more, maybe you can help the autor, or, if you dont like his work, fork his work??

Or maybe he wants to help you, I dont really care what happens - I'm just sorry for all the duplication... its such a waste...

but anyway thanks for the work. - Apr 22 2004

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by ipv4 223 comments

yeah, well, why not simply copy whole kxdocker code and start working on it??? I like this dock, but its (useless) code duplication again... - Apr 21 2004

Plastic bar SZON_1.1

Karamba & Superkaramba by szon 8 comments

well, first someone has to port superkaramba to Gnome. which depends heavilly on QT, so I guess it ain't gonna happen. There was an gnome karamba clone, someting like gapplets or something like that??? But I dont think the themes are compattible.

and if you prefer gtk - you can make gtk look lik qt and visa versa, so it doesnt matter what you use. but gtk apps miss the kio-interface etc etc etc, and are generally much less configurable, so I prefer KDE and QT apps. - Apr 19 2004

Dolphin Service Menus by prjanique 305 comments

I agree - whouldnt it be nice if this whould be merged in Kiso??? - Apr 19 2004

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by ipv4 223 comments

its a nice piece of software... but I'd like to ask - why do you make another kxdocker/kleardock/whatever osx clone? I like the osX bar, but it whould be much nicer if you guys working on these toolbars whould work on one toolbar instead of 3 or 4... kxdocker is quite mature now, maybe you could work on that instead of your own? not that I dont like it, but its just code duplication... I'm sure there is a lot you can do with kxdocker.

after all, this is what open sourced is about, isnt it??? working together on someting instead of duplication? - Apr 19 2004

esp the find/replace tool is quite advanced, you might think about adding its functionallity to Konqueror?!?! - Apr 06 2004

Dolphin Service Menus by prjanique 305 comments

maybe you can integrate some features, or the whole script, with Kiso??? that tool is made for making iso's, so duplicating efforts here seems useless to me...

maybe the autor wants to add the script to kiso - and then adding the config of the script to kiso whould make a nice addition to that app: actually you whould have one app with iso-mount integration in KDE.

its just a suggestion, you'r script is related to kiso, so maybe it whould be nice to integrate them both.

anyway, thanks for all the work!!! - Apr 06 2004

Got Christ?

Wallpaper Other by timbrown527 130 comments

100% of these "caused by religion" problems whould be there without religion too, cuz religion is just used by ppl to cover up for there narow-mindedness.

"keep religion to yourself" - why? You dont want everybody to keep their opinions on whatever to theirselves, exept religion... thats not fair... I can say whatever I want, exept when it is about religion? c'mon...

Lets create a poll "does God exist" ;-)
I dunno
You can prove He does
You can prove he does not
You can't prove nor disprove His existence (I'd vote this one, it is, at least according to modern fillosofy, true)

btw I dont really believe that much myself, but I LOVE human freedom (of speech, and in every other aspect) - Oct 09 2003
