Just heads up, the latest KDE 4.2 upgrade (kde42.debian.org) breaks things with this applet, I was getting Plasma each time I was trying to start KDE before I removed systemmonitor. - Jan 13 2009

This didn't work for me in 4.2. Beta 2 (Debian) I get blank bars.

Anyway, this is one of the best plasmoids, it should be included by default in KDE, I remember that system monitor was available in kicker-extra package.

This is a great app, you get all the info about CPU, Memory, Swap in one look and it occupies as much space as an icon, all the rest of system monitors are bulky and don't provide the info in such useful manner. - Dec 20 2008

I get this error:

What gives?

What should I put here, does anybody know?

I used it in Dapper and MEPIS (it works very nice) but now I see that I can't make it work on Sid, do you have any idea why is that, I can run it, I can unpackage a package but when I try to "debianize" it I get this answer: "The directory name must be - for dh_make to work!
I cannot understand the directory name or you have an invalid directory name!

Your current directory is /home/username, perhaps you could try going to
directory where the sources are?"

I did select the directory... how can I give more detailed info if you need? - Sep 29 2007
