It would be great if you add an option to show media buttons even if windows list is disabled when there's only one window - Feb 09 2011
I understand that's too early to talk about, but it will be possible to implement dockbarx in the new gnome-shell "dock" on the left side of the screen?
Why don't you propose a close implementationwith it? - Jan 08 2011
ok, I deleted all the file in /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/ and now everythung seems to work :) - Dec 29 2010
With 0.41 in ppa it seems I'm not able to go to pref window. If I click it:

When the cursor is hover an icon it should appear a tooltips that show informations and application description, like any other shortcut on the panel - Aug 15 2010
In the last version double click with scroll button doesn't work for closing group icon
I'm using ubuntu 10.04 - Aug 11 2010
With the last build dockbarx works again for me (Ubuntu 10.04). Thank you.

I got this error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/", line 26, in <module>
import dockbarx.dockbar
ImportError: No module named dockbarx.dockbar

And i can't add dockbarx to the panel. Hope you fix it! - Jul 21 2010
ok :)
folder's shortcuts? Dockbarx actually gets nautilus application shortcut only - May 02 2010
In my panel I like to separate tasks and shortcuts for application, so I insert my application icons directly on the panel and not in dockbarx. Maybe you can add an option to make move the icon on the right next to the shortcuts when you open an application, and when you close this task the icon returns where you have put before, with the other application icons. Doing this you don't have duplication of icon on the panel but while you can separate shortcuts on the left and tasks to the right. I hope that you understood (my english is orrible :) ) though i suppose it's difficult to do. - Apr 29 2010
i think i'm not sufficiently prepared for an icon design :D - Apr 27 2010
I think Dockbarx application should have an icon - Apr 27 2010
thanks, you're really fast :)!!! - Apr 16 2010
when you drag a file in an application, like nautilus, if there's only one window open dockbarx should automatically select the one. It's a little thing :)
P.s. Will dockbarx have multi-language support? - Apr 15 2010
Oh thanks! I installed dockbarx from ppa so i didn't get the lastes featues :) thanks for your hard work you're the best! - Mar 21 2010
i noticed that in the default list of windows in gnome there's a preview of a launched application that is opening. Is useful to take a track of what application have you clicked and if you have actually clicked the application. So it could appear an icon of the application you choose with a progress bar or spinning circles or something like that. Sorry for my english and i don't know if is possible to do :) - Mar 21 2010
another very very little thing to do (that's not fondamental for this app) is to allow changeing icons when you change icon-theme in gnome and dockbar is running. Now, if i change an icon-theme, dockbar remain with old theme icons: to change them i have to remove and add again dockbar. - Jun 01 2009
Ok! you are very laborious!!! - May 28 2009
i thought that could be very good to add different right-click menu for different application. For example you could add e menu for players like rhythmbox or amarok with play/pause/next song/previous song etc like one who appears on the system tray:
- May 28 2009
Is it possible to make something like this ? - May 08 2009
great release! Drag'n'Drop support is very appreciate.
I have 2 little suggestions:
1 make window delay more fast when you drag into it (or make a delay configuration in option)
2 make more space between windows in windows list (or make windows list bigger), so it's more easy to drag the element into a specific window.
Sorry for my english an thanks for your effort! - Apr 25 2009
New options are fantastic, thanks! - Apr 19 2009
thanks for these improvements, it's very usable. What about to reorganize option menu, separating options in tabs or something similar? I'd like an option to disable the yellow glow on active windows, i prefer the old thing. Thank you so much and sorry again for my english!!! - Apr 15 2009
for now you can ignore it clicking on "ignore crash for this application" or something similar... - Apr 06 2009
It's a very very good start!!!: maybe it's too transparent and sometimes I can't read the pop up. Thanks for your work! - Apr 01 2009
I did some concepts but i didn't like so i deleted them. So, what about to make pop ups similar to the Docky ones? Docky is an addon for gnome-do that give you a very functional dock.
For example when you pass over an icon pop up appears and if you click with right button other functions appear (like "close all", "remove icon from dock", "move", "run another window of this app" or, for music players, controls like play, pause, stop etc...).
Sorry for my english :) and there are some links to how dockbar pop up could look like:
P.S. i don't know if it's possible, but what about drag and drop from windows to taskbar? Sorry if i ask for much things without contribute, but this project is very good for my little screen :) - Mar 30 2009
Ok, i'll do some mock-ups....Thanks for your work!!!! - Mar 30 2009
it could be very good to make pop-up windows like new jaunty notifications or something less squared - Mar 29 2009

This theme is fantastic, IMHO should change some little things. For example Activity Journal icon should be a book or something similar, and not the zeitgeist icon itself; network icon looks good only at a high resolution, when it's small is difficult to understand what rappresent; terminal icon looks a bit stretched at low resolution (in general icon with a big frame, for example login screen, system monitor, look stretched).
My wishlist :) :
Lifeograph, Pinta, Amule adunanza, Emesene, Ex Falso, Jack Control, Hydrogen Drum Machine, ZynAddSubFX, Monobristol.
Thanks for this icon set! :) - Aug 12 2010
it could be great if you add Guayadeque icon.
One little thing: if you use transmission and right-click on a downloading torrent, the "ask for more nodes" icon looks ugly, it should be monochrome.
Your icons are great! - Aug 04 2010

Your theme is beautiful also with light or silver colors. One problem: when i change colors to grey the icons' background in the panel remains black. I have a transparent background for my panel, so it seems a lil bit ugly. Also menus are too dark, even if I change colors. I know that this theme was thought to be a dark theme, but can you fix this please, i like lighter so much!
P.s. sorry for my english :)

ugly? it's very functional for little screens! - May 02 2009
ok, now it works. I removed and created again .dockbar folder. This version is very good! But in my opinion is better to close windows with right click. - Mar 08 2009

I installed launchers version of dockbar from ppa repository, but if I add it to panel it doesn't show me i little white stripe only. I think it's a problem with the icon search engine...
- Mar 08 2009
Thanks! Now with 0.13 version firefox icon works. You're very fast with your updates :) - Mar 05 2009
Hi, thank you for developing this useful applet, thank you so much!
I think there's a problem with the new icons-engine in the last version of dockbar. My firefox icon doesn't appear, beacuse dockbar can't find web_browser.png icon. There's the error if i run in terminal:
glib.GError: Icona «web_browser.png» non presente nel tema
that in italian means " web_browser.png icon is not presente in theme.
Hope you will fix it, bye!
