With compiz fusion, GnoMenu acts like a window with opening and closing effects. If there is a way to fix that with Gnomenu and giving it it's own effect independent of compiz that would be nice (that is, if there is not a way to fix that using ccsm). - Jan 19 2009

I try installing it in karamba and it just shows up completely transparent. I can't see it but I know it's there because when I click on it, the empty/open trash menu comes up. - May 03 2008

well I set both panels to transparent and the bottom grid background is actually a part of the background picture. I did that so I could have the shadow effect. I also had a gradient effect on the grid pattern. It just makes it a little more customizable. - Apr 19 2008

what you can do is make put the kicker background where your taskbar is on your desktop background and then just enable transparency for kicker. thats what i did and it looks great. i have suse 10.0 and the file name for where you copy the images is different. For me it is /opt/kde3/share/apps/kicker/pics/ instead of /usr/share/apps/kicker/pics/ so yea, if you could just add that as the file path name for copying the pics that would be great. - Dec 31 2007
