Hi,
Don't get me wrong or something, this plasmoid really is awesome - especially the new light effects are great - but I don't quite see the problem with the launcher support. It might really be better if it was supported by kdelibs, but as a workaround for now, couldn't you just fork the normal icon applet and fix it to Smooth Tasks's needs? The icon applet is roughly 500 lines of code, so I really don't see any big problem with forking and integrating it here.

Yes I already used that option but "all" doesn't keep the taskbar compact and "active" doesn't seem to work unfortunately, just flashes once and then it's the same as if the option was turned off :-/

+1 for application pinning.
Not sure if this is already implemented and broken, but it'd be cool if started apps would also show their window titles next to their taskbar icons.

Hey, just wanted to thank you for this wonderfull plasmoid, it's so handy!
However, you could add an option to center the number of e-mails, so that the plasmoid doesn't look too "strange" when it's in the panel.
In general you should change the text aligment (of the short caption) to left, right, top, down instead of top-left, bottom-left, top-right, bottom-right.
But so far it's a really nice plasmoid! - Jun 15 2008
