Hi,
i need to look on my harddisk if i have an port to 3.20 lying somewhere. 3.18 for ubuntu 16.04 i can provide without problems. 3.20 is a bit more problematic. They did change the design to scss. And i do now work with a 16.04 with gtk 3.20 in virtualbox which is not optimal at all. Is there any way to buy 16.10 and mint 18 dvds without much cost in germany? - Dec 27 2016

Hi, your method has some defaults but im glad you found the class to edit.
I am working on a new more future oriented version of aero. Soon i post my first prototype here. Perhaps you simply can create an issue on github aero-experimental branch. It would be a lot easier for me than posting comments here. - Nov 25 2016

Please post output of:

gsettings get org.gnome.gnome-panel.layout object-id-list

Bug most likely is in line 25 of /apps/gnome-panel.css.
Use
color: #000000;
instead of
color: green;
Do fix this soon next days(s) in meantime check the lightpanel option ( gtk.css -> gtk-main.css to gtk-main-lpanel.css).! Suppose its a litlle bit stabler.

And yes this has to be a invisible value, so if you see a green color that is a bug i didn`t expect.

you mean the text box showed up when hovering an label.? its white silver gray on gtk2 and yellow on gtk3. Do fix this next days atm no time sry. Make something new in both, to synchronize it .

erm,
well it can be set in unity tweak tool.

I didn't change background image.It would have been looking better , but i didn't do it cause that postwork is like cheating. Am soon checking if using nemo can improve result.

And am working on cinnamon theme part. it needs some optical rework.

You wroted about gtk3.20 if im not mistaken. Perhaps wait a bit. Gnome 3 had already versions nearly impossible to theme.

Wish 16.04 had 3.16 .

3.18 is nearly perfect but the linked headerbar toolbar buttons are nearly impossible to theme. Try to improve that later next week on my theme(s). Its a pain to look at ambiances code. Its in fact so buggy im thinking of extracting it from adwaita outputted css.

well the cinnamon theme itself will work and there will most likely not a win7 gtk3 theme on noobslab like the last one.

For 16.04 he could just link, use another or write his very own implementation.

he means the window manager theme. I don't actually see a reason , since it works also good with the default ones.But if one has a good example theme i might port it too.

to this theme author:
how do you get along with the new scss standard?. maybe you can send me a pm with a little about the resources you used. SCSS is very difficult for me instead of css.Ask cause youre the first one i see using it other than adwaita main theme.

To cinnamoner:
Im thinking this theme targets gtk 3.18 or at least 3.16.
So for a litlle bit "oudated" 3.8-3.14 you might have to use other artwork ( perhaps from one of mines) my cause they will run.
BUT I DO RESPECT THIS AUTORS WORK AND USE IT IF IT RUNS FINE ON YOUR SYSTEM CINNAMONER.
Just anoing that gtk3 themes doesn`t mean all gtk3 versions but thats not the authors fault.
Good artwork keep going.

Feel free to copy the royle blue theme ressources and include it in your opack if you want.

older systems before cinnamon/mate where transparent too. now only compiz or compton +pekwm which is incompatible with cinnamon. not impossible that bumpmaps and full rgba support might be in cinnamon in future.

hi,
yeah let it be white.
that is one of the most important good points of the theme and a colour change like this will give you problems with theme concept.

you'll face unecessary design problems very soon. in the screenshot we see perhaps one already. (metacity colour to menubar)

focus on current design of it now, a grey version is a new theme.
and its even more difficult than the current one to mantain.

well,

cinnamon is great =).
A great work has been done on this theme i agree (after working on 9x xp, vista, 7,8 as well as fixing improving mac themes im glad to see someone talented took up the work for 10,).

Im admiring a bit the fact this theme author has the nerves to upload every small changes here.that is sure half an hour of work sometimes.

I did that too on the beginning , but now im releasing themes once and update them when i want, regardless of user rating.

Its a bit sad themes are not moderated here, since some stupid color variations using a stable codebase get relatively good comments and hide the more individual themes like yours once you wait a month with updates. Im not speaking of mods from main themes people just find useful or individual artwork regardless of its quality here.

hint: gnome-panel.menubar
see ambiance theme in assets gnome-panel.css sets unity panel bg. Might help you. Also :backdrop means :notinforeground once you define window borders. Am surprised to see how far youve progressed till now. keep up your great work.!

on all my linux setups plymouth causes trouble and why enable bootsplash , when your pc boots without 10 sec faster?

is there a grub theme or a hack to display win 10 logo as Penguins replacement for having a knoppix like bootscreen..

and why imitating boot screens?
the win 10 one is very flat.
But its still a great artwork for some people im sure.

my darkest theme color i used as window bg was brown in my gtk3 themes. themes from others like radiance , clearlooks phoenix, adwaita , win8 clones , yosemite themes and many others are light too. So enjoy the light ones and ignore the dark if you dont like them.
and start theming and posting here.

hi,
had a nasty bug like this for ubuntu 15.10 mate on my own theme(s).

solution:
it does work only correct with border-image-source definition. that breaks backward compatibility and requires asset image ( like a 1px one color line rectangle in a png). working but neither fast or intuitive. normal border-image lines dont.work on linked or flat buttons as we expect to.
perhaps issue cause of adwaita perhaps.

can you tell me why the left middle right button border looks deranged? A very small nearly invisible bug but i do experience it to very often on nearly all themes includig my own ones i see and don`t know why.

hi ,
interesting how you determine screen resolution. might crash on multi monitor systems. i did use grep -m 1 to minimize the issue.

does script work with nemo too?

Code looks very good.
guess you have worked hours on it.its complex and time intensive to write something like that.

what text editor have you used?
i do use meld gedit scite and mc-edit .

Possible, please try to check if the line -GtkProgressBar-min-horizontal-bar-height: 13;
changes anything. It schould on gtk3.16. maybe they deleted it in 3.14 and reintroudced it in 3.16.1 under another name. - Oct 15 2015

Hi,
Can`t you simple use a stripe pattern as bg url image and repeat it ?.
That should work if im not mistaken. Please try using a simple svg assets that gets repeated ( no animation etc, but better than flat!)

Seems like you use an earlier version of gtk3, than the theme needs, try win2-7remix from gnome-look.

Sent you a pm, can`t actually reproduce bug, be sure to have only nemo and not nautilus installed.

Hope we find a solution soon and you send me an answer. Only 14.04/14.10 and mint 17 derivates supported for this versions here for other forks/versions need a copy of the theme and excact bug report with wrong looking element name/path from gtk-parasite.

that error message looks like Windows 7-8.1 .
with using gimp+irfanview+cursorfx its theoretically possible to get one size/resolution into windows but it takes some time to make it.
also these converted cursors are slower than windows ones.... - Jun 23 2015
