Do you have plans for adding support for creating/removing alternatives? Editing currently existing ain't sufficient I'm afraid.

it seems there's a bug in refreshing routine. I use hidden panel (with custom size 128px) for thee clock and need to have seconds enabled, otherwise when panel appears there's no watch drawn on its area. - Dec 15 2004
it seems you got "debian" subdirectory in your archives. But it contents its kinda crappy (dh_make ain't enough). Is it intentional? - Dec 15 2004

The score does not really matter here. Ppl should rate the original project on its former page not here as it makes no sense otherwise. I strongly doubt all those folks who had voted here got sufficient knowledge to rate the package technically. They were lost on this site presumably and simply voted randomly. As most people know what they are doing they vote on the proper page, not here, so there are no counter-votes for those lost-folks. That's my theory ;) - Dec 14 2004

Dunno where to report bugs, so I try here:

once configured knetworkled should stay with given settings. Currently, however if it detects lack of interface it was configured to monitor it switches to "Configure me" state which sucks as heel. I personally use wlan0 but I configure it after I log in. So I start my KDE session and when it's loaded I setup my network. Other tools I use to monitor wlan0 interface simply stay tuned waiting the interface to appear. You treat it as a misconfiguration, which is incorrect.

knetworkled shall create list of availabe interfaces on demand, NOT on startup as it recently does. This requires user to ALT-F4 to quit the app whenever s/he wants to use iface that appeared after the app started. - Dec 12 2004

I faced some problems trying to compile this style (with KDE 3.2 includes):

baghira.cpp: In member function `void OptionHandler::initDropShadows(int)':
baghira.cpp:603: error: `exp' undeclared (first use this function)
baghira.cpp:603: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once for
each function it appears in.)
baghira.cpp:603: error: `pow' undeclared (first use this function)
baghira.cpp: In member function `virtual bool
OptionHandler::eventFilter(QObject*, QEvent*)':

make[2]: *** [baghira.lo] Error 1

Sure it would and it still can link to this page. Having separate 'project' for port may look lame, but since kde-look does not support group projects and other useful stuff (i.e. mail notification on project updates), it's easier to me to keep it that way and let you all users know about package update. Blame staff for not evolving. - Jul 20 2004

Not fully agreed. Projects like "Asteroid for Debian" (which I've founded even you don't like that - ) does not distribube packages nor single binary file via It rather points user to package repository that holds what it looks for. The major beneift of such approach (comparing to direct binary file distribution) is that user installs the package via native debian package manager which fetch recent version and (what's most important) keeps it always up to date whenever I (as recent maintainer) update it. If I'd send you a .deb file to include on your project page here, one could just download it and install with ease, but s/he would not benefit from automatic updates.

To sumarise - debian stuff is here please redirect Debian users to this page - May 08 2004

I've made Debian package (.deb) of Thin Keramik, so all you Debian users shall either add:

deb ./

to your /etc/atp/sources.list and install "kde-thinkeramik" package or manually browse above address and fetch desired *.deb by hand.

BTW: since I don't think it's wise to start new kde-look's project just because I've packaged this stuff, I announce that here, but would also like to ask the TK's author to put the above information on project website. Thanks. - Feb 29 2004
