Ok, I did it and it happens what I thought.

When I start superkaramba skopete.py, the version is:

0x20203f0

which, as I verified, corresponds to python 2.2.3, installed on /usr/bin.
My local python (which should be the one I compiled superkaramba against) is, instead

0x20401f0

i.e. 2.4.1.
Where does the theme calls for python?
I use amaroker, which also uses python, and it works smoothly, so I guess it's not a problem with my superkaramba installation. There should be a way to tell superkaramba which python to use, not the default one!

Thanks,

Ciao,

I'm getting this error when trying to launch skopete:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "skopete.py", line 12, in ?
import subprocess, sys, traceback
ImportError: No module named subprocess

I get a similar error with Liquid Weather.
I have Python 2.4.1 installed with PyQT, BUT it is a local install. Superkaramba was compiled against this python (is there a way to check it out?).
I also have an older python (2.2.3) in the default dir:

/usr/bin/python

I think it's possible that the problem is that skopete recalls this version and not the newer one.

What do you think?

Thanks,

Ciao,

I noticed that all the information on current tracks are not updated in amaroker whan you listen to a Radio Stream.
This seems strange, because in Amarok such information is given (author, name of the track...). Only the elapsed time is shown.
Moreover, it would be nice to include a 'cover' for each station, but this is probably something which would be better done in Amarok itself.

Thanks! - Oct 25 2005

Python 2.4.1 (#1, Sep 20 2005, 11:01:22)

And I am sure I compiled superkaramba with the same version. I re-compiled it with the configure parameter for the python dir and superkaramba is picking the right python.
Moreover, I've just installed amaroker, which also use python with superkaramba and it works perfectly!
So... I don't understand!

KDE: 3.4.2
SuperKaramba: 0.37-RC1

THanks,

Hi all,

I'm getting the following error. It seems related to python, but I'm sure I've installed superkaramba with the same version of Python I'm using.
I've also tried to install the new python (2.4.1), but I get the same error.
Any ideas?

Thanks.

What does ImportError mean?

It means that I couldn't load a python add-on liquid_weather.py
If this is a regular theme and doesn't use python
extensions, then nothing is wrong.

This works:

TEXT x=75 y=0 sensor=program program="date | awk '{print $4}' | awk -F: '{print $1+2 $2}'" fontsize=48 interval=1000 align=center

The main problem is in the use of " and '.
In this case I cannot tell awk to print the : between the hors and the minuts, because I can't use neither " nor '...

A very simple way to do it in bash is:

date | awk '{print $4}' | awk -F":" '{print $1+2":"$2":"$3}'

However, I don't know how to put it in the theme file (with the program sensor it doesn't seem to work) and, most of all, to update it every second (maybe with the interval keyword?).

In any case, a python script would be better, because it would allow to interactively change the timezone.

I really like the clock: simple and elegant.
I would like to add Timezone selection. It should be very easy.
Just for starting, how can I edit the theme file to show the computer hour plus 2, for example?
