somehow i never understand those 'different-size-requests'. for one thing, kde can automagically resize, if this isn't a good choice because aspect-ratios, then there's a bunch of easy-to-use tool to resize, edit canvas, do whatever.. ;) - Nov 13 2004

i'm thinking about adding a bunch of features (time, random, repeat, font selection..), but i'm not qite sure how to design it. i don't want to loose the simple style for a feature-bloated interface ;).. we'll see.

you mean the import error?
try the following, type on the console of your choice and make sure xmms is running:

python
import xmms
xmms.control.is_playing()

the result should be 1/0 wether xmms is playing or not. if this doesn't work, check your python/python-xmms installation. if it's working, let me know. - Nov 23 2003

it's calling the konqi profile 'audio':
'kfmclient openProfile audio'

to use this, you have to create such a profile with konqi, for example: resize a konqi window the way you like it, change to your audio directory and go to 'settings' -> 'configure view profile'. name it 'audio', check the check-buttons on the bottom and save it.

the other way would be to edit the call within xmms_custom.py and call an available standard-profile like 'kfmclient openProfile filemanagement'. - Nov 21 2003
