I tried to change my resolution in 1360x768 but without any problem.
Only you can try to extract folder and open the file kstarboard.xml with kwrite or other software and try to change in section userlist x or y or height or with. - Sep 09 2010

on my Mandriva only to extract folder from archive and put it in /home/.kde4/apps/share/ksplash/theme/

you have to go at the section buttom bar where after then you can try settings for clock and try to change <pos before <normal in the X or Y depending what you need. - Feb 28 2010

this Kdm is only for KDE4.x.
I use Mandriva and to install it i have to extract the folder from archive and copy it to /usr/share/apps/kdm/themes/

ok my monitor doesn't support this resolution so you have to extract KdmLinux.tar.gz on desktop, enter to directory KdmLinux and then open LinuxDesktop.xml with kwrite.
Now you can try to change in section "icons and text in bottom bar" x and y position.
Save and compress again with tar.gz
