Absolutely amazing work.

*YOU* released your iconset under the GPL, which means anyone can do anything they want to with it. They don't have to get your permission. You don't have to approve. According to http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Faenza-Cupertino+Kde?content=133534, you admit that the original icons aren't even your work. So, when you "copy" others' work that's okay? But let someone "copy" your copy and you get all self-righteous?
If you don't want people to modify and redistribute your work, then don't license it under the GPL.

It's so nice to see a Compiz theme that isn't just another Vista or OSX clone. This one shows real creativity.
This is now the default theme on my laptop, but I found myself thinking that it might look even better if all the corners were rounded. I suspect that rounded corners might just make this a "must have." - Jan 19 2008

I still think it's a great idea, but have found a couple of implementation issues in v1.03 that render it nearly useless.
The first is admittedly an annoyance, but it's a constant annoyance. The kicker icon-and-text "flash" at seemingly random intervals. It's impossible not to be distracted by it.
The second issue is even more troublesome. There *seems* to be some sort of mondo memory leak happening. The very first time that I had Tasty running overnight, I woke up to find that *something* had eaten nearly 2GB of RAM. One naturally suspects the most recently installed app, right? So I uninstalled Tasty, and the problem disappeared. (I'm running Mandriva 2008, BTW, 64-bit.)
I hope these issues can be resolved, because I still think Tasty is a damn fine idea. - Oct 25 2007
The "trick" to making a karamba widget responsive to a single click to to anchor it to a fixed position on the screen.
So, right click the widget, select "Toggle Locked Position," and watch the magic happen! - Sep 25 2007

From a usability perspective, most desktop menu systems (including Kmenu) are massively broken. A user must find applications the same way a mouse runs a maze--by following blind paths until s/he stumbles across the one path that leads to the thing s/he is looking for. It's both cumbersome to use and difficult to learn.
I've tried other Kmenu replacements, but tasty is the one that I'm keeping on my kicker. For purely selfish reasons, I hope the author will reconsider a KDE 4 implementation. Tasty Menu is just too handy a widget to be without.
