I sadly cannot compile it... I tried to compile it with gcc-3.3 and 3.4 but I had no success.

I tried to fix some errors myself, but there were more and more and more...

(ambiguous abs(...) calls, missing "math.h"?, ...)

Which compiler did you use?

Thanks for your comment, I updated my instructions.

I'm sure you'll improve this feature... amaroK always improved.

But no reason to not try this feature ;-) - Dec 11 2004

KDE 3.5 Themes by PaT 347 comments

I wrote a ebuild for lipstik-0.90 because this style is so cool!

I'm hoping that with this, more (gentoo) users will use lipstik!

1. Download the ebuild:
2. Create dir "/usr/local/portage/x11-themes/lipstik"
3. Move the ebuild to that directory, and switch to it
4. Create the digest: "ebuild lipstik-0.90 digest"
5. emerge lipstik (Set ACCEPT_KEYWORDS to ~arch) - Dec 01 2004

Normally, it shouldn't work with the new version, but i got it to work somehow, PLEASE don't ask me... I was surprised when suddenly Firefox started with the Plastik-Nuvola Theme. I found no errors until now, so just try to make firefox use it ...

Improving KDE

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by andrunko 313 comments

The patches are really cool!

The only thing which is a bit slack (I don't find a better word in english, if it sounds impolite, please insert an other one) is the drawing of the round edges of the selection.

If you could make these anti-aliased, it would be perfect! Don't know if it's that easy... I had some problems with anti-aliased lines in Qt in my own programs.

But maybe you can accomplish this.

Thanks a lot,

Hey, this is really cool, I ever wanted to write a programm to log all the keys being typed all day, and print some statistics then. But I never found the time to do it.

The logging of the mouse position is also very cool.

Keep improving it.

amaroK is such a wonderful program, but I think there's a huge bug:

It's feature complete ;-), can't find anything to add to this program. Thanks a lot for this program.

Well... just one little thing: It would be very cool, if we could configure where album covers are stored. I have all my covers in one directory, and they are called "artist - album.png". If there was a setting, where I could specify

"/home/../covers/%A - %a.png"

or something like that, it would be perfect!

I really would like to share this application, but I fear it will only work with my mp3/lyric-collection and my naming-scheme.
The procedure is actually pretty simple:

1. I have one directory with all the lyrics in it(*), they are named:

lyrics/Artist 1 - Title 1.txt
lyrics/Artist 1 - Title 2.txt
lyrics/Artist 2 - Title 1.txt

2. I call qlyric (Ctrl+Alt+L)
3. qlyric does the DCOP-Call 'amarok player nowPlaying'
4. qlyric fetches the file '/path/to/lyrics/Current Artist - Current Title.txt'
5. qlyric fetches the cover from an other directory
6. qlyric shows lyric & cover

(*) The lyrics are fetched by an other program (which is an ugly bash-script). It tries to fetch the lyrics for every single mp3-file I have in my mp3-collection from 4 different sources on the net.

I think it would take me some weeks to port this system on an other computer (hard coded paths etc. etc.) ;-)

Plastik for Firefox

Various KDE 1.-4. Styles by djworld 167 comments

This is really cool. I had to change some things on my own, because there were some problems (no folder icons, ..) but I'm sure you will fix these bugs in the final version.

There's nothing I could critisize about Plastikfox...

Well maybe the fact that it's pretty annoying that I'm confusing Konqueror with my Firefox all the time now ;-)
