Hi,
I've some color problems in firefox and dropbox. When you search a site in firefox the background of the search string gets dark red when the string isn't found:
http://imagebin.ca/view/NRpPRYNb.html

In dropbox systray applet there is also some text unreadable:
http://imagebin.ca/view/Gymw7J.html

Until now I haven't figured out where to change these colors. The only thing that would help is to not use the colors in non-KDE4 applications. - Jun 13 2010

No, I'm not the packager. For the translations we need the .pot templates. Because you've added kpackagekit to Playground they are now available:
http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kde4/templates/messages/playground-sysadmin/kpackagekit.pot?revision=871981&view=markup
But before starting the translations the misspellings should be fixed first.

I for myself also don't have much experience with translations. But I think rdieter and/or Kevin_Kofler in #fedora-kde on freenode could help you with that. - Oct 17 2008
We'll likely want to make kpackagekit the default graphical package manager in the upcoming release of Fedora (10) (on the KDE side, of course). But one problem ATM is that kpackagekit is only available in english and it seems not to be prepared for translations (eg. no .po files are available). But there seems to be some i18n markups in the source.
So my question is: What's the best way to translate kpackagekit? Or do you want to release a minor update with proper .po files in the meantime? - Oct 16 2008

The used cmake version is 2.6.1, but it doesn't seem to be the same problem like in the post above. - Aug 20 2008
It is not my app (look at the different names) ;)

The function converts openoffice-documents to a slideshow, so it is not necessary for main functionality and just a feature (haven't used it for myself). - Jan 24 2006
Don't know exactly. unopkg (from openoffice.org) fails if a script is already installed (in this case kmf_converter.zip). Reinstallation of kmediafactory (0.5) is also a little bit tricky this way (unless you use --without-unopkg).

To see, what scripts for ooo are installed for the current user, run: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg list - Jan 24 2006
"make install" calls the installation of kmf_converter.zip for installation in OpenOffice.org for the compiling user. When you run "make install" twice it will fail because it is already installed (like in your notice).

To remove it, do a:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg remove kmf_converter.zip

There is (at the moment) also a Bug in the Makefile wich prevents kmf to install this systemwide

If you want this, run:

./configure --without-unopkg
make
make install
(and then as root)
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg add --shared $PATH_TO/kmf_converter.zip

(where $PATH is the path to installed file "kmf_converter.zip (eg. /usr/share/apps/kmediafactory/)) - Jan 24 2006

make: *** [all] Error 2

It seems, that there is a problem with the variable $streamindex_LIBS. Perhaps I still miss a devel-package. - Sep 10 2006
Hi. I've tried to build strigi on FC5, but the compilation fails near the end.

[ 94%] Built target strigidaemon
Scanning dependencies of target strigihtmlgui
[ 96%] Building CXX object src/htmlgui/CMakeFiles/strigihtmlgui.dir/strigihtmlgui.o
Linking CXX shared library libstrigihtmlgui.so

make[2]: *** [src/htmlgui/libstrigihtmlgui.so] Error 1
make[1]: *** [src/htmlgui/CMakeFiles/strigihtmlgui.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2

If I changed to src/streamindexer/ and do a "make" there, the output is a little bit clearer:

Is this "xattr.h" the header from the kernel? Because I use a self-compiled vanilla and the headers should be there:

# find /usr/src/kernels/linux-2.6.17-fedora/ -name xattr.h
/usr/src/kernels/linux-2.6.17-fedora/include/config/ext2/fs/xattr.h
/usr/src/kernels/linux-2.6.17-fedora/include/config/ext3/fs/xattr.h
/usr/src/kernels/linux-2.6.17-fedora/include/config/cifs/xattr.h

Ups, my fault. I had an $ to much. Now it works. Thanks! - Sep 06 2006
mhh. seems not to work. I still have the gtk-dialogs:

$ KDE_FULL_SESSION=true
$ export $KDE_FULL_SESSION
$ kgtk-wrapper firefox - Sep 06 2006
I'm running openbox on FC5 with many kde-apps. Just compile kgtk-0.8 with kdeprefix. In a KDE-Session it works fine with firefox (from mozilla.org) and gimp. But outside KDE it will show the normal gtk-dialogs.
Is this the expected behaviour or is there a solution? - Sep 06 2006

I love this one. It is my standard wallpaper for months. But since Gnome 2.8 ist out, I´m not up to date.
It is possible for you to make an "update" of the number? :) - Dec 09 2004

Very nice app, but the saved files are not correct, when you want to verify them with md5sum or sha1sum.

Try this in your code:
echo "$MD5SUM ${CheckedFile##*/}" > $CheckedFile".md5"
echo "$SHA1SUM ${CheckedFile##*/}" > $CheckedFile".sha1"

(two spaces between $MD5SUM and ${CheckedFile##*/} - Nov 09 2004
