I fully agree with you. I chose the preferences icon, because it is automatically changed when one selects a different plasma theme. I'll try to add a new icon (perhaps the EIZO logo, although that may cause troubles with copyright ;) ) - May 02 2013

I use the appmenu plasma applet and I don't need the additional toolbar which kded-appmenu shows. How can I disable it? If turn off the kded-appmenu, the plasma applet does not work. - Sep 22 2012
