Plateau

Plasma Themes by jamboarder 18 comments

*Very* nice theme! You did an excellent job on this. Plateau is the definition of "simple" and "functional." Plus, it's not black or white =D

Keep it up! - Jan 29 2009
Another Amarok 1.x Control

Plasma 4 Extensions by ZigmunD 8 comments

Thanks a lot for this! The Oxygen System Monitor stopped working, and it had too many spacing issues and such. Now I can use *just* the control and dump the system monitor if I wanna calm my CPU down as much as possible (ie. during a benchmark(s)).

Thanks again! - Jan 11 2009

"6) if you receive a Kross related error, restart KDE after installing
libkrosspython0"
n/m LOL I feel like an ass now. installed python support but haven't restarted plasma yet (didn't know I had to).

Thanks a lot! - Dec 27 2008

Karamba & Superkaramba by sh00t3r 9 comments

Btw, thanks a boatload for going to the trouble of creating this! I'm keeping it on my desktop even if my HD3870X2 doesn't have fan control support yet :D It's very nice! - Dec 27 2008
ATI Fan Control

Karamba & Superkaramba by sh00t3r 9 comments

Since it uses AMD/ATi Overdrive, it'll work on whatever cards are supported by that. Which like you said is only the HD4k series (same on Windows, except you can use RivaTuner there). But anyway, I'm just wondering what all is needed in order to run this. When I put it on my desktop I get a warning about needing more Kross support. What's this written in, etc.? - Dec 27 2008

Yeah, so, 9 months later my card was finally supported, but now I don't even use Linux anymore (X.org should die in a bloody massacre). So... if you or someone else wants to post a system requirements or get a list of all the enabled stuff, be my guest and I can add it to the description. Other than that... yeah... this is pretty much it now. - Nov 14 2008

Yeah, the title bar is really small. Notice that this is not an oxygen clone, but a simple color change of the "Professional" them I whipped up for personal use.

Maybe some others might like it :) - Nov 03 2008
KDE Partition Manager

Dear lord, please somebody reply to this man! That's exactly the kind of tool I really *need*. And so far KDE Partition Manager looks like a winner!

(Yes, we have fdisk, chkdisk, mkfs, libparted and friends, etc. I don't want all that. I want one app to rule them all! Go KDE! Woooo!)

Whenever AMD adds support for the HD3870X2 I'll get back into updating the profiles :) Yes, I can put a "Recommended Specs" list or something of the sort on here, but not until I can get in and mess around with it hands-on. :)

Thank you for the feedback :) - Apr 02 2008
I guess you missed the emerald themes I made and put up for your to download free of charge. Maybe you missed that I'm fronting a Linux documentation project. You must of also missed _WHY_ I uploaded the keys (look up a comment).

You're not speaking with reason, you're speaking out in anger for no good reason. Maybe you're pissed because Windows has such a high market share. Maybe you hate Microsoft. Maybe you love Linux and think it's 34823904823490239048423 times "better." None of which have _ANYTHING_ to do with me uploading this. Don't leave crap comments on my creations.

Piss off. You're not helping the community, you're hurting it. - Apr 02 2008
I guess you missed it... Wine now "supports" Photoshop up to CS2.

I understand what you're trying to say, but get a clue; The more comfy we (Linux users) can make people who _depend on_ Photoshop, the better.

...please don't waste more of everyone's time by commenting back. If you don't agree, move on; like the world does without you. - Jan 27 2008
Fixed and the new profile is uploaded. Thanks very much ^_^ I don't use Vista, so it's hard for me to know these things specifically :) I've only seen one friend use it so far. - Jan 09 2008

These are Compiz Fusion settings. It's not a "theme," really, so it's whatever your desktop currently "looks" like but with these Compiz Fusion settings. - Dec 29 2007
not if you use apps that need those keys free (Photoshop, for example :-) ;)

It's just settings... so it's whatever your desktop looks like, except acting like Windows XP. There is no graphical change from downloading and using this file, only window behavior -- It gives 1 desktop, disables a lot of "in the way" things for newbies like alt+left click for window grabbing, etc... it clones how the Windows XP desktop works (plus a few added things that Vista has that people like). - Dec 18 2007

first of all, that's Adriana Lima.
second of all, the original picture isn't under the "Artistic" License or public domain, so you can't slap on whatever you choose.
third of all, she's frigging hot. - Dec 17 2007

Yeah, can you please split them into .pngs? anybody *can* with inkscape or such but it would be nice if it was released as a tarball of pngs with the .svg source. ^_^ Just trying to help.

thanks very much for the icons none-the-less. I love all the Id games (less ET:QW) and seeing the same old icons all these years is boring ^_~ Now I've got something [else] to spruce up t3h ol' menu. - Nov 11 2007

Keep! It! Up!

I just looked through most of your deviantart profile and perused your website... amazing, man. Amazing. THIS is what I'm talkin' about! :) Heck, I bookmarked both those and this Kore suite homepage to make sure I can stay current with it :)

Man, I can't thank you enough for the work you've put into this. Obviously you're dedicated to what you do, which is create BEAUTIFUL artwork for whatever environment people use. Best wishes for you and your family.

Sincerely,
