Yes, I like the idea of other molecular wallpapers too, of open source hacking molecules. I'm not much of a graphics guy though, but they would fit nicely into other chemistry-on-the-desktop initiatives. - Oct 09 2006

The InChI is: InChI=1/C8H10N4O2/c1-10-4-9-6-5(10)7(13)12(3)8(14)11(6)2/h4H,1-3H3
See PubChem: http://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/summary/summary.cgi?cid=2519
I will upload the InChI version to this site any moment now. - Oct 06 2006
- user data keywords as metadata
- record of last (KDE) program that openend a file
- other kinds of metadata, such as the chemical InChI
These can easily be stored as xattr, and I think it's easy to index those with Strigi...

have not compiled it yet, but looks rather interesting. One note sofar: your INSTALL still refers to configure/make instead of SCONS.

Maybe we can do some funny stuff... like add an action 'Open with Kalzium' to show the periodic table with the elements highlighted that were 'used' in the file.
E.g. say the file contained benzene, it would make all elements but carbon and hydrogen grey, and C and H highlighted in some way. - Sep 15 2005
