I found an error in the "panel.rc" file on line 9.

bg_pixmap[SELECTED] = "Panel/panelb-bg.png"

It should be:

bg_pixmap[SELECTED] = "Panel/panel-bg.png"

REMOVED the extra "b" in "Panel/panelb-bg.png" - Feb 28 2010
