Oh WOW!!! I remember suggesting something like this a while back.. Any chance you'll port to Mint-Cinnamon, as you have your with your main series???? (It doesn't seem to fully work on Mint 19 Cinnamon but I'm sure you'd already know that) - Jun 10 2020

I'm having the same issue - I don't think it's a scaling problem; when I open the image files they all have the icon all smushed up. Seems like perhaps the wrong edited images were included when releasing - Jun 29 2019

LibreOffice splash

LO Splash Screens by KEIII 10 comments

Well -- I have an answer. Didn't take all that much at all for an update to push through! When it did, the files were re-set back to the old ugly logos. Luckily it takes less than sixty seconds to go in to the proper directory and re-paste the custom files. (In case anyone is curious) - May 30 2019

LOL! Yeah it works - I had to diverge from your original instructions in order to get the "about" splash to work - this included converting one of the attached png files over to svg with slight quality sloss - but it works well.
I guess I'll see what happens whenever updates roll along for it. - May 28 2019

This is quite neat - bumped into this by complete chance. Thanks for making it - it solves the problem of such an eyesore of splash for an otherwise excellent office software suite!
Clean & modern - beautiful!

I noticed you added this 8 years ago, and have continued to update it; do you know if any major updates to libreoffice will 'break' this tweak? Or will the files stay intact without having to go in and re-doing the changes after a software update? - May 27 2019

+I have a preference for the dark mode of this one much more than the Mjve one - but also, this keeps getting better and better! The navigation buttons on the file manager are smaller and crisp - but even more, the transparency effect on menus is great - I'd been led to believe that it's tricky or impossible to expect that kind of thing on Cinnamon (using LM19 myself at the moment). Great great great! - May 12 2019
Desaturin

GTK3 Themes by paulxfce 16 comments

Call me crazy but I decided to try running this one on my Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon lol!

It's not perfect in its elements but paired with the window borders from 'McOS Mint-Cinnamon', I can get something out of it. But the greyed out 'traffic buttons' of Desaturin are a beautiful feature, as well as the rest of the greys throughout.

Would you make a cinnamon-ised, mac-ified (like their 'Graphite' mode; and window sidebars not too dark), version from this base?????? - Mar 14 2019

Wow innovative and beautiful concept. impeccable execution so far. Hope it doesn't get abandoned and that a "version 1.0" comes out soon! - Mar 14 2019

(forgot to mention the traffic lights as well. It's a nifty idea, but ever so glad that apple also had the good sense to provide a less jolty alternative within that graphite look, lol) - Dec 01 2018

Any chance you could be persuaded to tweak this one for a "Graphite" style, like this?
https://ibb.co/gDMWYnR

Fully switching from macOS for over 10 years over to Linux involved having a good theming opportunity, silly as that sounds. Your theme here made it possible. But I miss the graphite as I've always found the blue to be over-stimulating to the eyes in extended use. Colourful icons is as much as I can enjoy, and even those I periodically switch out to greys.

I've tried mucking about in the files to change but I'm out of my league as nothing comes out right.
Another beautiful tweak from the mac world comes from another theming artist, which is quite cool; and which you might find good for future ideas as well: https://ibb.co/LNnWg9F (many elements like the buttons, and scrollbars are this light milky white colour, and otherwise also in the grey ranges.)

I share this long comment since I saw you created a Desaturin theme, so it seems like you too appreciate the value of a greying aesthetic. Sadly Desaturin seems marked only for purely Gnome. Please, please let me know if it's something you'll seriously consider. And if it's outside your range of interest/time, could you point me in a good direction for me to be able to properly play about with theme tweaking?

Any way that support would be added for GTK 3.20+?
Big fan of the Leopard one if only for the scrollbars alone lol -
and find that now that Linux Mint 19 is out, it doesn't work as it once did.
You guys are great for being the only ones I can see out there that have chosen to maintain this theme aesthetic all these years later. Thnx either way - Nov 30 2018
Beautiful wallpaper - it's been tricky for me to find much in the a way of wallpapers with these kinds of whites and blues (natural lighting types) that also have good dimensionality too them. Only have a handful of them. There are many nice-looking themes of the Linux Mint default types that look vibrant in thumbnail but for very flat (literally) when made wallpaper. No dimension. Weird texture.
Anyway, you did great with this, and thanks for sharing it here. - Nov 29 2018

Any hope you might port this theme to Cinnamon with left-side windows-buttons option too? (for us linux mint and else other assorted cinnamon users...) - Nov 29 2018

Dude, the reddish-dark variant is one of the best dark themes I have encountered so far. You've got the balance and punch just right. The buttons make me want to reach out and eat them - they're like jolly ranchers lol! - Nov 28 2018
