Point is that my graphics card cannot support 3D direct rendering and xcompmgr simultaneously, since I rely on the ATI proprietary driver fglrx for the 3D rendering. This driver does not support the damage extension. It does not work together with xcompmgr.
I believe, I am not alone with this problem, so a port of the fake drop shadow patch to KDE 3.4 would be great.
Moreover, xcompmgr is still experimental. In my experience, the fake shadows, although they sometimes do not work perfectly, work very stable and reliable, while xcompmgr ist still flaky and crashes often. - May 11 2005

I have an ATI FireGL T2 card, so I have hardware OpenGL support only with the ATI fglrx driver. This is installed properly, and (most) other OpenGL apps work fine.
Any suggestions? - Oct 28 2004

One small wish:
Could you add a sticky/unsticky button? That is the only thing I miss.

which affects gkrellm with its
default skin as well as other apps
such as xmms with shaped skins.
My solution is to issue the command
"dcop kwin KWinInterface reconfigure"
after starting the application.
I think it is a bug in kwin.
This works for my old KDE 2.2.1,
I don't know how this works in KDE3.
Good luck - Oct 11 2002
another nice icewm theme. But:
Is anybody out there working at the icewem
client for kwin such that it can work with
shaped window decorations such as icewm 1.1
can do? That would increase possibilities
for great window decorations themes a lot!

Icon Sub-Sets by AquaFusion 80 comments
this is one great icon theme.
I have just one more icon on my wishlist:
I would like to have one which looks like a shell.
Is this possible without too much trouble?
Looking forward to any new release and many more
such icons ...

that is a great Icon Theme!
I installed it immediately, and
finally my desktop has a really
good look.
However, I need more icons!
I desperately could need icons for
Mathematica, for Maple, and also for various KDE actions such as
'Quick Browse', 'Recent Documents',
'Configure Panel', 'openterm' etc.
Currently, some menus show a wild
mix of your nice icons together with the standard 'hicolor' icon
theme icons.
Wow!
