But I tried to use the Blended metacity theme and the Clearlooks GTK theme, but it doesn't look the same as in the screenshot. With Clearlooks I get an ugly grey color, not white like in the screenshot. - Oct 05 2005

There are some things which I do not need though, for example the date and time which are already displayed on the KDE Panel But I'll figure out how to edit the theme myself. - Aug 20 2005

Maybe I exaggerated a bit about the other "extremely annoying bugs". I can remember the 100% CPU usage bug on Kubuntu, but that was the Kubuntu package's fault. Besides that, I posted a bug report about the embedded playing in Konqueror crash, but I got no reply, so I wonder if you guys check the bug reports?
BTW, I read this on the Kaffeine development mailing list: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=7700699&forum_id=38669
When do you expect to move the Kaffeine project to the KDE project infrastructure? I hope it happens soon, more collaboration with the KDE project would be a great idea. IMO KDE should have Kaffeine as the standard video player, just like GNOME already has Totem as the default video player. - Aug 07 2005

The Liquid Weather Plus theme and the Aero AOI theme already give you the option to choose that theme.
4. Editing the theme manually wasn't exactly what I had in mind. I mean that you could configure the theme in a GUI, like for example as it is possible in Aero AOI: http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=24626
5. BTW, one more idea, maybe you could display the internal and external IP adress as well? - Aug 07 2005

Don't get me wrong, Kaffeine is nice, but I hope the bugs are fixed this release. I don't see any information on fixed bugs in the changelog? - Aug 07 2005

1: Please give an option to display the total up and download for a day.
2: Please give an option to use the Aero-G skin (if you don't know what it is, search kde-look.org for "aero-g")
3. Please give the possibility to display temperatures of the CPU, motherboard, and such things if that's possible.
4. Please make the theme configurable, so the user can decide on what is displayed and what is not, if it isn't configurable already. - Aug 07 2005
About the total download/upload, maybe you could ask on the superkaramba mailing lists/consult the superkaramba website or something? Or store the values given by the current upload and download meters already present in the theme, and sum them up to get the totals?
Concerning the external IP, I do have a good idea though. There are websites, for example http://www.whatismyip.com/ which can give you your external IP. So maybe you could fetch the data from such a website.
The FSB is the Front Side Bus, read here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Front_side_bus - if people overclock their PC's they increase the FSB's frequency because the CPU's multiplier is locked. So it's interesting information for overclockers. Again, I don't know how to retrieve the FSB frequency. - Jul 10 2005
1. Could you please let the network section display:
- change "In" and "Out" to "Download" and "Upload" (these terms are more familiar)
- total data transferred downstream/upstream?
- external IP? Right now it only displays the internal IP.
- uptime? Right now I have to enable the clock to see the uptime, but KDE already has a clock, so that's a bit pointless for me.
2: Could you please let the CPU/memory section display:
- "CPU" instead of "Cpu"?
- the CPU usage in a graph instead of a status bar? This way we would be able to see the CPU usage history.
- the FSB frequency? - Jul 06 2005
I encountered a bug though. I tried to add e-mail checking. I entered the settings it needed for the e-mail checking, and clicked apply. The theme tried to refresh, but it didn't reappear anymore. Closing and reopening SuperKaramba 0.36 didn't help either, I had to delete the AOI config file from ~/.superkaramba/ in order to get the theme to show up again.
And I also have a feature request. Could you please add the FSB speed in the "CPU and memory" window, and temperatures for the CPU and motherboard as well (maybe even the videocard if possible, but maybe I'm asking too much now)? - Jun 04 2005

However, could you please remove the shadow of the Q3 icon, or give us a version without a shadow? - May 26 2005
However, it seems that you set the splash screen to fill the entire sreen. My monitor is set on 1280 x 960 and the image is of a smaller resolution, so it becomes stretched out and it looks very pixelated then.
So could you please provide a higher resolution image, or make it not fill the entire screen? - May 26 2005
