Also, I have a feature request: Could you add the ability to have gradient selected_bg_colors in menus and progressbars and the ability to select our own slider, scrollbar, and progress bar look and feel?
Other than that, it's an awesome time saver when creating themes! Thanx for creating it! :-) - Jan 14 2021

1) The icon themes all had "*Theme Name*" as their icon names.
2) Having installed the themes in /usr/share/icons and /usr/share/themes, respectively, I found that they weren't showing up in MATE's theme list. Going back to those folders, I noticed that the permissions weren't allowing regular users to access them.
3) On the light themes, the taskbar still had a dark background.
Don't get me wrong, I like what you've done here, it just needs a little polishing up. :-)
Oh, and I would also like to see orange and teal variants of this theme series, too. - Apr 10 2019

That said, I tried LXQt yesterday, which is the Qt-based successor of LXDE. Since I found it impossible to get EXACTLY the look I wanted, at least with LXQt in its current form, I have decided to switch to Xfce as my desktop of choice, at least for the time being. Whenever I get a chance, hopefully in the next couple of weeks, I'm going to make Xfwm borders for these themes, too. But don't worry -- I'll keep the Openbox themes in there too, as part of the package. And, of course, once LXQt matures, I do plan to take another look at it again in a year or two. - Jul 02 2016

While I personally am not a KDE user (I use LXDE), I have to say I love this theme, and in fact, once LXDE is completely ported over to Qt and thus becoming LXQt, I will more than likely download this theme then. - Jul 20 2015

Unlike GNOME 3, Xfce is still GTK2-based and is expected to continue to be so for at least another year or so, but can run GTK3 apps, although, of course, for those to display properly, you need GTK3-compatible themes for them. Since Xfce has stuck with the GTK2 base for now, all this breakage in GNOME every time you turn around isn't a problem with Xfce, at least not for now, anyways.
Therefore, I can recommend Xfce if you decide to jump ship from GNOME. About the only major difference as far as folder/archive contents go is that Xfce's titlebar is known as Xfwm, and the folder that Xfwm themes are stored in is xfwm4. Other than that, it's like putting together a theme for GNOME.
Or, if you wanna say heck with it, I've downloaded your themes onto my flash drive and, whenever I get a chance, I'll play around with 'em and see what I can do. But like you, I agree, I think the constant breakage of GTK3 themes every time GNOME is updated is uncalled for. - Jan 25 2013

BTW, I have an idea for Linux distribution I've been working on in my spare time myself, although I'm going with the blue version of a theme I created just this past week (it's on Xfce-Look, BTW) as its default theme. - Jan 20 2013

The reason I ask is I'm using Xfce and would like to download this theme pack. But after reading comments about these themes hijacking everyone's other themes, I decided to not do so until I see if any of my fellow Xfce users have reported that this theme pack screws up Xfce, and if it does, then this is obviously a HUGE deal-breaker. - Jan 07 2013

Even though my personal desktop of choice is Xfce, I still come here frequently to GNOME-Look for new GTK3 and icon themes and wallpapers. But if you don't delete this, then I will be forced by conscience to no longer visit GNOME-Look or upload anything here, because this material does NOT belong here. In fact, if I ran this site, I would delete your account IMMEDIATELY.
If nothing else, please read Matthew 18:6 and take it to heart -- Jesus had some pretty strong words to say about those who encourage others to sin. - Sep 28 2012
