This could be fixed if the configuration dialogue were resizable (it isn't at least on my setup). - Jun 28 2005

I don't think that analogy works or applies here.
A closer analogy would be putting a Porche or Ferrari crest/emblem/logo onto a Ford. Which I wouldn't do. - May 06 2005

I really like your button icons, as well. - Feb 24 2005
With autocomplete drop-down textboxes (like the address text in Konqueror), the box is bordered with weird colours. Sometimes, Green, sometimes yellow. This is understandable, since green and yellow are in my colour scheme. sometimes I get turquoise. now, maybe green+yellow=turquoise, but WTF is it happening with the drop-down box border, and why is it so inconsistent? if it could just PICK a colour and stick with it, it would look a lot less strange. - Feb 16 2005
ok, enough gushing, here's some suggestions/observations:
1) are you using Inactive Window Title bar colour as the default for scrollbars? because some widgets (such as scroll bars) look pretty bad with most of my colour schemes (which use black in the Active and Inactive Window Titles). Of course, I can tweek the colours and fix it, so this isn't toooo serious.
2) I just noticed now, scroll bar colours are not consistent. The scroll bar on this little text box I am typing in on the web form is greenish-grey (from my colour scheme) but Konqueror's scroll bar for the entire window is the dark grey that I set in the style's config. weird...
3)scrollbar highlighting when click/drag would be nice to have.
4)Menu lists are too big/long. some of my bookmarks menus take up more than half the screen. With my other style (phase) they take up much less room. Variable font size and spacing would be cool.
5)checkboxes and radioboxes just look like white circles. hard to see on this webpage, which is white and grey.
This is a great looking style with tons of potential. maybe it's something fresh and new to include into KDE 3.4?
keep up this awesome work! :) - Feb 15 2005

Maybe it will work with a generic (non-Suse) bootsplash?
I don't know. - Feb 10 2005
some more useful icons could be for back/forward arrows, home, reload, stop, etc... for konqueror, and maybe some icons for file systems (CD, folders, mounted drives, etc...) and mimetypes.
Great style and I hope to see a full icon set from this! - Jan 27 2005

would it be also possible to have this affect the windows below? so that when the titlebar is transparent, you can see the icons on the desktop, or the window below. now THAT would be damn cool! - Dec 19 2004

I like backdrop and the way the scene was shot. I especially like the lighting and shadows. Pose is also nice. I think I'd like it more if her lips were closed but more smiley. - Dec 04 2004

listen people, there's more than one way to live (and none of them are "right" or "wrong", which are both very subjective terms) so stop trying to cram your own way down other people's throats. If you want to post wallpapers of bible quotes or naked people, then fine! do it already! just stop the proselytizing and preaching! if you DON'T like an image that someone has posted, DON'T LOOK AT IT! because other people actually might like those pics you don't like (either religious OR nudy).

now maybe everyone here can grow up a little? - Dec 04 2004

seriously, you could have posted a URL to it, then people would probably not be getting all worked up. If it's as good as you say, why not spread the (good) word about it? - Dec 02 2004

as for the above theme itself... well I don't find XP really that good looking. I'm not sure why everyone is so desperate to make their linux boxes look JUST like OSX or XP boxes. - Oct 20 2004

you must have the following folder:
~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes
It is in this folder that you must unzip the .zip file to to that the path to the files looks like this:
~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/Preview.png
~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/splash_active_bar.png
~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/splash_inactive_bar.png
~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/splash_top.png
~/.kde/share/apps/ksplash/Themes/Theme.rc
You may have to create the ksplash/Themes folders. I don't think they existed by default on my setup.
Yes I know KDE3.2 allows you to test them, but it does not REALLY install the theme unless the files are setup as I've explained above.
Hope this helps! :) - Aug 14 2004
