Aha, that explains the "old" versions there. I renamed the versions I had in ~/.magicons, installed the others and now I have both versions.

Thanks so much for responding! Cheers. :^) - Mar 09 2012
I'm confused... when coloring the Humanities icon set, you use to have settings for something like "extras" (for example, it would color the plus sign for the folder-new icon).

Were those settings removed? - Mar 07 2012
The solution to my triple post above was python-glade2 , it should be added to the list of dependencies. - Dec 26 2010
A triple post! How embarrassing... I must have hit the back/forward buttons and it was resending the message. Sorry! - Jul 16 2010
I had this working on Xfce, but I had to reinstall my OS and now I can't get it to work. When I run "MagIcons" in terminal it says One or more dependencies ar missing!, but gdebi show "All dendencies are satisfied". Any ideas? - Jul 15 2010

I had some time today and discovered that this problem always occurred after GDM took longer than normal to start. I then discovered a brief "vga=791 is deprecated" warning on boot. After reinstalling GDM and commenting out the offending line, it appears I can no longer reproduce my bug.

I'll post back if it rears it's ugly head again, but until then thanks for the quick reply and I love Talika! :^)

Once in a while, Talika launchers don't seem to respond correctly. For example, I'll click a pinned launcher for my file manager and the icon animation (where it zooms out as it fades) happens VERY slowly and the application takes a long time to open. Opening the application from the system menu seems to work fine, and I can't see any other problems with my system.

vino, have you seen or heard of this, and do you have any steps for me to debug? - Dec 15 2010
If, once you get into Preferences, you increase the space between icons under the Icons tab then you can also click in between icons to access the Preferences menu. - Nov 01 2010
Great, thank you! - Sep 04 2010
Vinod, thank you for this amazing app, I've been using for a couple of months and I absolutely love it. Anyway, I compiled it from source with the instructions you posted on page 3 (works perfectly), but what's the best way to upgrade... do I just do everything again to install it over the old version or do I need to remove things first?

Thank you again! - Sep 03 2010
