IIRC this will be possible with cairo.
This would be exactly what gnome needs to be more appreciated by "klicky-bunti"-users as we call them in Germany - and even as an ion3 user I have to admit that this looks awesome.

good wallpaper! however the gradient looks quite 'choppy' at 1600x1200, how about a svg version, this would make it easy to create matching backgrounds for all resolutions without any quality trade-in at all.

why does everything on this site has to be gnome related, it is 'eyecandy for your gnome-desktop', that does NOT imply that on EVERYTHING should be a gnome logo or whatever.

awesome icon theme, really great work! I know there are much icons still left to be done but it would be really neat if video mimetypes could be one of the first. (I use the mimetypes for programs that create/edit files so that would make the iconset almost complete for me)

I think the colours should be less intense, the background of the ubuntu logo should be as pastel as the rest, a light brown with low saturation or something.

if I set the kicker to be transparent and click on one of the buttons the background will be changed to be normal button background, which it shouldn't because that's not transparent :)

again I've found a little issue, in the select folder-dialog (in juk) closed folder-icons look great, but the line (on the right of the icon) isn't changed when the folder is opened, this is really minor but when you notice it, it really gets on the nerves... - Oct 22 2004

imho the round box around selected icons could need a little anti-aliasing
and the rubberband doesn't work right if you move the mouse quickly to some edge of the desktop while selecting

In Kopete the ICQ-Icon looks damn ugly, doesn't match the rest imho.
Another thing would be the smilie before the Contactname in Kopete, would be nice if this would be changed to something nicer...
I don't like the kmix icon (in systray) aswell, should be 'rounder', perhaps resizing the little yellow thingy at the end, make it a bit larger, might solve this.
The Kopete-systray icon should be changed to the same icon it has in the k-menu..

it wasn't supposed to be good implemented it was supposed to work and I __really__ wonder why no one of the kdedevs has removed this frame before I don't no nothin about kde or c++ and it was easy as pie.
And I guess the only difference between a 'good implementation' and this would be to have the lines deleted instead of commented out :) (provided nobody wants this frame and I never ever heard 'let it stay' in the bug report...)

Just found two other things, I just want you to notice these, I don't request them to be changed or something, don't mean to bug you, just some feedback :)
1. In every contextmenu (+K-Menu and Desktop-Menu) the gray stripe at the left site can't be seen if the item is hovered, it is completely overpainted by the selectionmarker, my guess is that the selectionmarker should seem half-transparent, so the stripe should be visible through it, thouh thats just taste again.
2. The KNewsticker applet for kicker flickers while using this style, I noticed this same bug a few months ago with .dotNET so the bug should be in the old codebase somewhere (I'll reopen the bug on bugs.kde.org (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63494) refering to .dotNET style, I hope this helps get an idea of whats wrong)

just noticed that in the .dotNET shipped with kde 3.3b2 the bug -is- present but hardly noticable (see bug report)

just found another 'flaw' (it's a matter of taste though I think it also doesn't fit inside the style):
I don't know where else to find such menus but anyways open KMail and right click on one of the column-descriptions (unread or total for example), I think when hovering one of the items, the checkbox should not get a thick border, so it should be a little smaller so there won't be such an effect, this also matches several other things, like column-descriptions themselves or scrollbars.
I understand this is a very early version of this style, so I hope you don't mind if I put up things you already made your mind up about and just couldn't implement for the time beeing. - Aug 08 2004

good work, everything looks very sleek, only two things bother me...the tabs need a rework, to look more like the buttons imho and textfields (like the location bar in konqueror) need a border imho.

great theme, far better than any I've seen till now, but there are somethings I don't like about this one:
-All cursors like hand, help, etc have the second icon overlap the normal cursor, I know this is just personal taste but I think the second icon should not overlap the cursor.

it looks like most people here never tried newer versions of windows, in windows xp pro i've only seen a few blue screens and i crash my x server almost frequently so there is no difference for me. windows doesnt crash more/less than linux.
