The fact is it's a clone of the XP login, way to much like it, but if you like it do it, but dont tellor expect KDE developers to use it for the next version, because they will not. - Mar 24 2004

You can use Icons, pictures, colour schemes and theme in the KDM, you'll need to use the login manager and do that. - Mar 23 2004

Linux is constanly being up and improved and your "average" person(including me, but been called a expert) didnot expect to do the things i'm doing now with Linux. I didnot like command lines and editing, over time you begin to realize how powerful that is, take a theme and edit it to how you like, wow now that you cannot do in windows. One thing that get me is how easy can it be to type the name of the program rather than go look for it in a huge friggin menu. Linux copy?, like what?, when XP was released the 10 things MS said was new Linux aleady had, now people are editing there XP boot screens and logins when Linux users have been doing it for years.
I dont know why people moan so much about how much harder Linux is but what do you expect for free, ok I paided for SuSE but it's much cheaper and stable than that bloated XP. - Mar 20 2004

There is nothing inovative about clicking, except virus's in your emails, thats a really cool feature of Winblows. Linux suits everyone taste you can take feature or disable them, make it look how you want instead of being stuck with crap like windows way of working forever.
If people dont want to move to Linux because of learning more then they can stay in there Windows world. Linux is Linux and it's upto the decretion of the distro on how Windows like it is, not some brainwashed attitude expecting it to be like Windows. - Mar 17 2004

The people who think what KDM should look like have no idea how to make it look there own way, it's a case of not knowing the OS/environment they are in or ignorance. - Mar 10 2004

The fact is some people seem to be dug in there MS hole and expect everything else to work or look the same. - Mar 10 2004

Its people like you we dont want and kde's own login style is important, the last thing we want it people like you forcing Windows look on kde users and Linux. - Mar 09 2004

Most of the time you dont need to change things and it can be done all in one window, I mean how are can it be. I do wounder if people at kde-look have properly got used to linux and KDE at all. - Feb 07 2004
