I had the exact same problem. What you have to do is install the files in the correct RedHat 9 locations. I don't remember them off the top of my head, but use slocate to find the karamba theme files and put the slickerstyle ones there. Then start kcontrol and they should show up. I'll find and post the exact directories later. - May 13 2003

Ya, the reason why it takes forever to update is because after a while it consumes so much memory with the images it doesn't delete (it hides them), it takes forever to update them even though they aren't showing up. I'll have this fixed in the next version which should be available tommorrow morning. Also, you'll be able to specify the exact icon directory in a configuration file that you want to get the icons from, since alot of people don't have them in /usr/share/icons/your_theme_here like my script assumes. - May 10 2003
