the colors were from the kubuntu logo, I kind of wanted (and liked) the contrasting blues. Though nothing is stopping you from changing it to your personal preferences, thats the beauty of xml! erm... scalable vector graphics. - Jun 03 2008

great idea, I was thinking of a similar idea a year or two back

circular menus are a much more productive way to get things done.
Though they arent very pretty too look at, I suggest you make it a little less opaque, then when you hover over it, it becomes fully opaque again.
