Remove the voting system if you ask me. Its causing more problems than it solves.

Clearly using an IP limit isnt working. With free dialup you can vote once every 20 seconds with a different IP. - Jun 21 2002

The voting on KDE-Look.org needs to be sorted out.

Its not "xx percent good".
Its "xx percent think its good".

THERES A DIFFERENCE.

Each person should rate the wallpaper 1-5 and the site shows you how many of each rating its got.

That way items which you either love or hate wouldnt show up in the middle etc. - Jun 21 2002

Oh no! A jesty wallpaper showing tux with a rocket launcher! The government will surely make Linux illegal now!

On a side note: Linux is based more in Europe and the eastern world than in America, so dont generalize when youre talking about legislation. You mean AMERICAN legislation, the rest of us dont have any stupid laws like that :) - May 27 2002

Its called sharing dude.
Without this website, the language this website was written in, the preprocesser language this website runs on, the webserver this runs on, the OS that webserver runs on, 90% of the work this website contains, the programs people use to make this website, and KDE itself would not exist.

Debian declined to package KDE-3 at the moment because they are in the middle of holding presidentail elections and KDE3 is unstable, not suitable for a high quality distro yet.

Which is more than I can say for some unnamed segfault-during-the-install distros :) *cough* gentoo *cough*. - Apr 20 2002

Hmm no, its an S inside a blue/purplish circle. Its the only one I could find using google image search. The redhat one is the white/red guys head in a circle, gentoo one is the badge thing, the mandrake one is the hat/wand etc etc. I made sure to cut them all out perfectly so there are no jaggie edges or the like, they all look good. - Apr 19 2002

Slackware
Suse
Redhat
Mandrake
Debian
FreeBSD
Gentoo

Ive also made a version of each with the Gnome logo instead of KDE. Ill upload them all once I find 15mb of FTP space. Anybody got any room? :) - Apr 18 2002

Ill sign up for a geocities account, remake the badge/glass layers, and see if I can upload versions for all distributions and for BSD too, then repost or update with a huge set of links to all the different types.

I would have done this originally but a) Cant upload more than 4 files b) Couldnt be bothered to sign up for free hosting!

Might save some poor souls from the big effort of inserting a logo without proper layering! - Apr 18 2002

Sorry about the lack of layering on the Debian/Tux/KDE logos in the PSD I sent to people. Unfortunately I merged the glass/badge layer into the logos before saving it which makes it a bit harder to edit =/ - Apr 18 2002

Due to a slight accident in APS, I saved a merged copy of the image and hence I can *not* change the background color, ribbon color, icon etc etc. Basically it can`t be changed short of a remake now. Ooops. - Jan 16 2002
