Idea: Save Amarok 1.4

Various KDE 1.-4. Improvements by stalin2000 28 comments

I switched from gnome to kde largely because I so enjoyed using amarok. The most important feature it had for me was the ability to pop out the micro sd card from my phone and have amarok recognize it as a music device. I could configure where I wanted amarok to put my music on my phone card, etc. Now I can't do that. I also loved having it load the music meta-data into my postgreSQL database, where I could run queries and look at the data myself. Now it uses an embeded database which I can't inspect. I also dislike the middle display column.

I've actually switched over to rhythm box now because it is better at getting music over to my phone's micro sd card. - Jul 27 2009
