Have you ever tried living in a country where NOTHING is truly YOURS?? where you can get in jail just for having internet or even? or being disposed of your computer for just made a wifi network for gaming? and most imortant.. a country that has (or claim to have) a COMMUNIST REGIME??? over a SOCIALIST SYSTEM?
I pretty sure you don't know what is that. And tell you for Nth time...come to my home, i'll be happy to un-wash your brain with the truth just taking you for a ride around the whole city and country.
now keep playing to the wise commie. - Oct 01 2006

the normal mplayer icon kind of sucks,
this is way better,
why don't you talk with the developers to make yours the default???

well, i had glibmm-2.4.7-r1, but updated now to last estable 2.6.1 as you said.
Now my error is very strange...take a look..

yeah..some day this regime will be bringed down. And people will be able to have free speach and their OWN properties, and all the human rights a country deserves.
But like you said...the lives that were lost,... will only remain in our hearts.
Both, the people killed for their will to be free and the ones vanished trying to scape over the sea.
Meanwhile....we gotta keep struggling.
My respect towards you matwis. - Jul 07 2005

But i haven't been able to compile the libraries. The first issue is that ./configure didn't "configure" (hehe..what an irony) the glibmm libs path. It complained that those didn't existed ("No such file or directory" :) ), when actually i have these files installed in /usr/include/glibmm-2.4/glibmm.
I managed to solve that coping all the "missing" libraries to the aurora-library path.
Now the problem is the following...
"/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lglibmm"
If it helps, my system is Gentoo 2004.3 with 2005.0 profile and kernel 2.6.11.10
Cheers...
I hope this project still go on!! - Jun 18 2005

Well, about the image viewer, if you could add an option for browse images with the mouse wheel, and a fullscreen option,. (hehehe,...yes..just like the XP one)...is surely would be tha bomb!!!
For me a quick image viwer is kuickshow, but it doesn't support mouse wheel image navigation and rezised images gets pixelated. EOG and gthumb are good (i think gthumb is better), also F-Spot, but all those are almost the same stuff, i mean... "open the app to start browsing the family vacation photos". None of the are, "open a folder with 10 photos, open one of then, enable fullscreen, view them all rolling the mousewheel".......i don't if you got me there....hehe.....i am just refering about the speed, simplicity and easy of use.
So, really, if it's possible for you to make an viewer like that, i am sure many people will thank you and others many will use that viewer as day-standar (including me of course, hehehe).
Greets, and again waiting to see progress of aurora. - Jun 16 2005

Does it use GTK, QT or your own way??
Does that image viewer is functional?? i have been looking for ages to a light image viewer (not very loaded) with "view next or previous" buttons, just like the XP one.....or better of course :-) - Jun 12 2005

first of all, i am sad 'cause when i try to download the source i just get an screenshot image..
Second....only looking at the screenshots, it have a very good look. at least this cloned enviroment seems more "united" than the actual XPDE. I would like to download the source to install it and if i can i would like to give ideas too and report bugs.
Waiting to see the progress....
