You can open Windows 7 theme → gtk-2.0 → Menu-Menubar and replace menubarlight.png with this file: http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/8262/menubarlight.png
(I cropped a screenshot of IE8 under W7 so this really is a W7 menu).
After that, edit Windows 7 theme → gtk-2.0 → gtkrc and, on line 4, change the file name of the include to "menubar-light.rc".
This method should work to have the correct menu. - Dec 08 2009

Looks great! But the spacing of the buttons in the titlebar is no 100% correct.
This is your work:

This is the real WinXP:

The problem is that your bar is 1 pixel too thin + your buttons are 1 pixel too high. Result: the buttons are 2 pixels too high. - Mar 07 2009

You should add a preview! And the archive is huge: more than 6Mo! You should only make a JPG version, and in only one resolution (even if I have a 1024px screen, I can use the 1600px version). - Dec 07 2006

Is the blur rendered with Blender too, or was it added with The Gimp?
One more remark: I don't think there is a need to put several sizes in the archive: the bigger one fits for small screens too. - Aug 12 2006

I've started to redesign the foot in Inkscape so you will have a bigger version (for your wallpaper for example). It's alllmost finished and will soon be available here. - Jul 25 2006

In fact, I actually never saw Apple's splash screen... I designed this one because of that one: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=42836 (look at my comment). I don't even use it on my computer :-p
But, well, I think I could do one that takes account of your comment. - Jul 24 2006

First of all, aergern is right: you just copy Apple's artwork, but when I copy your work, you don't agree. Do you really think this is logic?
Secondly, and that's what is REALLY fun, your work is under GPL... So I can modify and redistribute your work: YOU DELIBERATELY GAVE ME THIS LIBERTY. I even mentionned that you're the original author.
Sorry guy but I can do what I did (well maybe YOUR work is illegal as it uses Apple's logo). - Jul 19 2006

The theme is really good, very beautiful. But there's one thing I don't like: it's a little too light, there is not enough contrast and it hurts the eyes a little. - Jun 20 2006
